  1. How come you got two likes when I said pretty much the same thing in the post before? BJMB is so cliquish
  2. On the other hand, it would be hard for Stro and Sanchize (?) to be worse in 2019. For the record, I fully expected 2018 to be worse than 2017.
  3. Fangraphs projected 2.8 WAR for Vlad in 2019. Projections are conservative, he will likely exceed. For the first time in a while, Jays have a number of young players trending up. Could see 4-5 exceed 2 WAR in 2019. Candidates include: Vlad Grichuk Jansen Borucki Stroman Gurriel Diaz Smoak To be sure, 2019 is going to be a poor year, but I doubt it will be worse than 2018.
  4. Does Merryweather make the Jays top 30?
  5. Todd agrees with me, gentlepeople

You edited the response. I know it's different. My point remains, the game's stars have less protection today than they did in past years, hence more chance of injury. Last year Matthews missed a big chunk of games and played hurt much of the season due to some very questionable hits early in the season.
  7. You can aspire to it.
  8. meh, he's not ever going to get much of a chance given the jays mif depth. best he go to another club
  9. Don't think I've ever used the word. Only those that have no clue about how to debate and reason like adults use such invectives.
  10. I'm all ears. And I can include a bottle of Appleton to sweeten the offer, too
  11. So embarassing I'm gonna counter if you don't mind, need a bit more
  12. Eh, my favourite trading partner, for good reason.

    Right, we will see.
  14. True, dat. But between now and the spring cutdown is the time to trade picks for good players off the top teams with a roster crunch.

Vigilante justice more effective as a deterrent. That d-man that crunched his stick on Matthews' neck while Matthews was on the ice would have been pummeled into submission 10 years ago. As it is, he got away with it scot-free.
  16. Joey Wendle available for an SP, for any teams out there needing a good bat that can play multiple positions. Zobrist 2.0?
  17. Be OK with either. Just prefer MacDonald due to MLB experience, knowledge of the game, was a clubhouse leader when he played, and seems to have the right temperament.
  18. Surely it must be health related?
  19. His ETA is 2021, a lot can happen betwix now and then. He's definitely a riser, though.
  20. BA had a more positive write up on Kevin Smith in the FSL piece, in which he was ranked 11th. 15/20 in MWL, and 11/20 in FSL, go figure.
