  1. I'm middle aged and I can't do that stuff Vladdy was doing without zappers nearby.
  2. Yes, we were looking far and wide to replace quitters, one of which reversed a ragequit once the thinking part of the brain clicked on.
  3. Koskie was very good, Overbay was acquired in trade, BJ Ryan was a top closer when signed. Why are we responding to this moron?
  4. 18363 I feel like an errand boy
  5. BJ Top 10 has not been updated. Pg. 1148 of this thread has the current ranking and writeup.
  6. He might be a pretty good arm barn piece. His problem is his fastball velocity which starts out OK but declines inning by inning. Shouldn't be a problem out of the arm barn.
  7. Again, one by signing, and one cost controlled pitcher (Fish) by trade makes the most sense for the Jays. Will leave plenty of cash for in season moves.
  8. Dylan Bundy or Kim? Tough call.
  9. Jesus f*** Matz is under no obligation to take the highest bid anyway. Matz decided to take the Cards offer, regardless of any Mets new offer, case closed. If Cohen really wanted Matz, he should have ponied up in the first place instead of trying to just beat out whatever other offers are out there. That's also known as nickel and diming.
  10. Meh, you are hearing one side. I am sure the agent has his/her own version of what went down. Funny how this type of s*** always happens to this new owner Cohen. You can made a deduction from that.
  11. This. Seager and Suarez are barely rosterable in a 20 teamer.
  12. Cohen isn't doing himself any favours in the Mets FA pursuits.
  13. I'd put Gillick and Masai on equal sized pedestals. Delivered new franchises their 1st championship.
  14. Every long term big money deal is potentially franchise crippling. This one is way more likely to deliver very high surplus value.
  15. Gary Carter would do it fairly frequently. One knee on the ground, the other leg straight out to the side.
  16. It's a concern. He struggled with pitch recognition but got better as the season went on.
  17. Same, his rise from a guy that hardly played baseball to holding his own in AAA has been meteoric. Kid's going to get even better, maybe much better, with more reps.
  18. Yes if i was rebuilding i'd take the deal in a heartbeat. Really like my chances this year though. Plus its hard to say if Glasnow will come back the same pitcher or if he will drop down to a mid rotation talent.
  19. Two top 6 picks in a strong draft is good for me.
  20. I like to buy low.
  21. Calloused hands and dick
  22. From their ass. Best ignore
  23. He came back, pitched 3 innings, and was shut down the rest of the year with elbow trouble. No one is writing him off, but its looking rather dim. Many, many pitching prospects flame out with a dead arm.
  24. I don't think there's any way Canada prevents unvaxxed MLB players from coming to play in Toronto. MLB will react by forcing Toronto to play out of Buffalo. The political blowback of this is too great. There will be a deal, just as before.
  25. They win on the National Post comments echo chamber.
