  1. Many people here don't even know who George Bell is.
  2. There are many paths to a WS that don't involve a team having an "ace".
  3. Off TJS, pitches 3 innings, shut down with elbow soreness. He's taking the Franklin Perez route to obscurity. He might make it all the way back, but rather unlikely.
  4. No way in hell that will happen. There will be agreements made.
  5. Moreno is going to play in Venezuelan winter league after the final AFL game today. Expect he will continue taking daily 3B reps.
  6. He's with Seattle.... they signed him last year to a 2 year deal, knowing he wouldn't pitch in 2021.
  7. Not surprised by Pardinho, I think he's done. Too bad, I was hoping he would morph into a late inning RP
  8. Unless roster resource is wrong, the Jays left Miguel Hiraldo unprotected.
  9. A team like Baltimore will take him, give him the Luciano treatment.
  10. Pirates left Tahnaj Thomas unprotected
  11. He should be getting FTJ money
  12. Yanks had quite a roster crunch, but yes its a surprise. Rays had an even bigger crunch, need to find out who they left exposed. Rays left C Blake Hunt unprotected, #108 ranked prospect on FG.
  13. I would, yes. Abrams alone can quite easily end up being a better asset then Witt Jr. And you're still giving up Patino, Pearson, Lux, Adell I'm sure others here feel different. Depends on how one values prospect capital.
  14. Go ahead and make the offer.
  15. Yes it seems a guarantee that Samad will be picked, but that's certainly not true for Leo. But Shatkins knows best.
  16. Not too bad. Still a bit of an overpay IMO, but if a consolidation trade makes sense for you, go for it.
  17. I like the Bieber side by a large bit.
  18. Pearson has pitched minimal innings the last few years and never more than 100 IP in a year in his professional career. He's a ways from being a reliable full time SP.
  19. Atlanta didn't have an "ace". Neither did Houston for that matter. The Jays had an ace, but .....
  20. With Ryu needing to be babied and Manoah workload needing to be managed (I think), Rodon or Hill might not be wise. Wacha the more reliable, can eat innings, and his numbers are not bad actually.
  21. Certainly a lot..... $200M worth, possibly. I could see a team giving him 9/200 Thing about Berrios is he has excellent control and what, 4 or 5 pitches? As his velocity drops over time, he will still be effective, perhaps more so with experience and craft.
  22. Seems more than enough for Castillo. The Reds just handed the catcher job to Stephenson, not sure they want Kirk.
  23. Trade Kirk and Groshans for the whoever. Now we're talking.
  24. Yes he doesn't want to give any suggestion he favours one location over another.
  25. The more ideal scenario is the Jays sign one of these (or Ray) and acquire a cost controlled SP by trade. Jays are talking to Miami according to reports. That leaves FA dollars for arm barn upgrades and Javy Baez.
