  1. I wouldn't object to Freeman and J-Ram.
  2. Matt Duffy projects for a higher wRC+ and is a FA that could be had for very little.
  3. Franco will be traded in 2026 for a monster haul.
  4. I've been on the Javy train for a while. Wonder if the Jays have a big edge given the bro-in-law connection. The thing with Javy is he can play all over the diamond. So 3B until Moreno is ready, then he slides over to 2B. Or if Biggio is performing well to the 3-4 WAR player we think he is when healthy, Javy can play all over the field giving everyone a DH day every few weeks. The positional flexibility is a huge plus.
  5. Tiger said today playing on the PGA tour again is realistic, but won't be full time.
  6. I would say the current rules apply to the the transactions that take place until a new CBA is negotiated.
  7. Corey Seager and JD Martinez are available for the 1st overall and a later dispersal pick.
  8. Reminder Nov 30 at midnight is the deadline to declare if you are participating in the dispersal draft. Current owners in the draft are FantasyNewb, DL73, BTS. There will be a lottery for pick order on Dec 1 before the draft begins. Order will be posted here and communicated by F/T message. It will be a snake draft. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gmrnLvPPUwdpITeT9t7uwqrucdws2fN8uRRJv_sosGE/edit#gid=35447996
  9. True, but you don't move your star shortstop for a guy like Story who is only coming here on a short time, high AAV deal.
  10. What a stupid time for the Rangers to be taking this kind of risk. Not only massive overpays, but the timing is off by at least 3 years. The only thing that makes sense for the Rangers now is to trade prospect capital for a short contention window.... Leiter, Winn, Jung, whoever else. If not, years of mediocrity is their future.
  11. Welcome to the board. All viewpoints welcome but be prepared for criticism.
  12. Offseason is not over yet, and don't forget the 2021 mid season additions of Berrios and Manoah
  13. What's the value of 1 WAR now? Related, the value of prospects (and player development investments) has gone up exponentially the last few days.
  14. The big winner in all this is the Padres. Dodgers lose, and the Rangers lose bigly. FTJ's deal looking like a steal ATM.
  15. Boras having a monster week.
  16. lmao, that's ridiculous
  17. Yes, please. 3B solved and some more speed on the basepaths.
  18. I think Bundy would be above average out of the bullpen. And at the same time would provide SP depth (#7 or 8 on this team).
  19. Such as? I'd like to see what Walker can do with Dylan Bundy, pitching out of the bullpen. A couple of ticks more on the FB could make all the difference.
  20. Pearson most likely a swingman, starting maybe 12 games but maxing out at 5 innings in any of them. Then another 40 or so innings out of the bullpen. That is, if everything goes well. Or maybe he is in Buffalo a good part of the season, but I hope not. He needs MLB seasoning.
  21. Only so many nose swabs a man can take.
  22. Kikuchi would be a fantastic signing
  23. My spidy sense is that Ray preferred other teams. Perhaps because of the whole Covid, border, Buffalo Blue Jays hassle and the potential for it to continue to some degree.
  24. 100% Jays are in a great spot right now. Surgical moves, not blockbuster is what is needed.
  25. Yes it is ambiguous. Let's just say there is a question of how much raw power Groshans will tap into.
