  1. So Sanchez has been out for a month now...minor shoulder injury
  2. I hope he's back before then, but the way his velocity was up and down earlier in the year, it makes me think he's got a more serious injury. I hope it's minor for sure.
  3. Didn't you guys get the memo, Morrow is hurt?
  4. Reyes out of the game, went 2/3. Andy Burns is 3/3.
  5. 2 good defensive plays in that inning, don't forget them. Coming into this game, I thought the Blue Jays might be a bit tired from playing in Texas.
  6. Speaking of Reyes, has it been made official that he'll start his rehab assignment tomorrow in Dunedin?
  7. Yeah, I didn't mean to suggest that Wagner would be DFA'ed, just lumped him with Perez because they were called up together. He's earned his spot and Gibbons seems to trust him.
  8. I'd like to think they'll consider DL'ing him when Reyes gets back or at least DH him and play EE at 3B and give him a couple of days off, especially if they get back to .500 leading up to the ASG.
  9. Yeah, no doubt, I see a deal being made. Too bad for Perez, he and Wagner have done a good job, but I'm sure another team will give him a chance to try and prove his performance this year isn't a fluke.
  10. Agreed. Only way he should be on the team next year would be if he accepted the qualifying offer and had the motivation to pitch for a contract although it hasn't much helped this year. Depth will be better next year for sure as guys like Nolin and Stroman should be in AAA and even in the bp guys like Stilson and Carreno could replace a guy like Delabar if he was to be moved, which I doubt.
  11. I think if Rasmus was to be moved, it would take place in the offseason. I doubt he moves Gose in July, just because he's struggling so much in Buffalo, his value must've gone down by quite a bit. I certainly wouldn't rule it out though.
  12. I also think that if the team is at or above .500 by the ASG, it would be because they would have continued to pitch better thus putting less pressure on AA to trade for pitching. What I think is inevitable and actually a must, is for AA to deal a couple of relievers because they may lose them for nothing when the guys come off the 60-day dl.
  13. Let's also not forget that Drabek and Hutchison will probably be sent down to Buffalo upon returning later on so that may also prevent Stroman and/or Nolin from being promoted. I guess they could get rid of some of the AAAA guys in favor of the younger guys.
  14. I hope so. I'm looking forward to seeing Burns in AA. Maybe they'll promote Nolin and Stroman to AAA, but they may not want to mess with Buffalo's roster too much as to not piss off the owners there with all the roster shuffling that has already gone on.
  15. The fact that he didn't panic earlier is a good sign. I don't think he'll give up guys like Sanchez (who hasn't pitched in a month anyway), Osuna, Stroman. Maybe Nolin, but I doubt it. I think we have to remember the team will get a boost when it gets Reyes, Morrow and Lawrie so you could argue those are acquisitions. I think if the team is at .500 or above by the ASG, he'll keep JJ and take the draft pick.
  16. Seems to me this Brad Fay character is undefeated in place of Jamie Campbell, so whatever he says is ok with me.
  17. Let's not forget the great catch by EE. That saved at least 1 run, probably 2 with the way Cabrera is running.
  18. Expected a loss today, pleasantly surprised. Team will be 4 below .500 after this with a homestand coming up, going 4-2 would be huge.
  19. This thread would probably work as a jinx, but Lind's jinx-proof right now!
  20. Plus, if they get back to .500 by the ASG, the whole team could use the rest for the 2nd half.
  21. Can they now take JPA or is there a limit of 1 per team?
  22. He's also been a bit unlucky. I've seen him hit line drives right at people. Even in this game he hit a hard gb right at the 1b who threw out JPA at third. Not saying he's a great hitter, but he's shown some signs. Bonifacio on the other hand....
  23. It's been that way all year, the guy needs a dl stint, but I don't think they'll dl him till Reyes is back if at all. I have to think the legs are also affecting his hitting.
