  1. Reyes keeps getting robbed, why can't they play that like Rasmus would?
  2. I probably wouldn't either, but I can't blame anyone for asking for the moon from AA given what he's given up since 2012.
  3. Stroman was fully stretched out...till you put him in the bullpen, you freaking idiot.
  4. Stroman's young so they've gotta take care of him.
  5. Given the circumstances at the time of the deal, it was a decent trade. Had the Jays kept D'Arnaud, they would've gotten their starting catcher + Gose. As it is, they have a #3 starter and Gose to show for it although Dickey was acquired for "a little" more than just D'Arnaud. I don't think even AA's harshest critics would agree with you, but who knows. Maybe you could provide us with better offers that AA turned down at the time from teams that Halladay was willing to sign an extension with.
  6. I'm pretty sure Pillar had some pretty good numbers vs RHP in the minors, but I haven't looked it up. I think that given that Gibbons has said he'll continue to play Francisco at 3B, the bigger need would be a right hand hitting MIF that can play both SS and 2B.
  7. I think the Cubs would rightfully be asking for a huge package. Let's not forget what AA gave up in both the Marlins and Mets trades. The Cubs will continue to ask for Stroman, Sanchez ++ and I can't say I blame them. There are several teams that will be looking for a starter. Who knows, maybe the Rangers and Cubs make another deal.
  8. AA will be counting on Morrow to act as reinforcement for the 2nd half.
  9. Pillar's the 4th OF right now though, so I think that's legit. Kratz for Kawasaki would be the other move, but Gibbons has said he wants Francisco in the lineup, this is his baby.
  10. I get what you're saying, but my issue is with the dynasty reference. Again, what appeared like "one of the best farms in the game" has turned out not to be so good over time. If they had relied on this farm to win, they'd be in trouble, although with a cheaper crappy team. You are also contrasting them with the Rays, who run the most efficient team out there, I guess the A's have an argument as well, but still, in my mind, this has to come from the very top of the organization. Again, I agree with Amaro being terrible, I just don't see the dynasty reference as being legit.
  11. I think we can all agree that he's terrible, but how would they be a dynasty right now when the prospects haven't panned out? This is what's not clear to me since in order for the dynasty to be made, the prospects needed to pan out. Maybe ownership and the team president need to share in the blame for wanting to hang on to guys like Howard arguably to not look cheap.
  12. No one sees Nolin as a potential ace or top 3 starter in an MLB rotation. We see him as a 5 or maybe 4. Nothing wrong with a cheap # 4 or 5. This team is paying RR, Morrow and Happ a combined $20M. Like GeorgiaPeach suggested, if it has a chance to trade Happ for anything and have Nolin take over him, it should pounce on it.
  13. Does this mean the Jays should try to get him back? If not, who cares?
  14. Yeah, American TV money gets first dibs. Games starts at 1.
  15. Except that they don't play at the same time.
  16. Well, it would be a higher pick for this June's draft, lol.
  17. Should've done this last year, would've been a higher pick.
  18. Now that McGowan is in the bullpen, there's no reason to keep Stroman there, but I suspect they'll give it to the vetrin Redmond thus telling Stroman they don't believe in him.
  19. Yup. This is one potential positive of Happ in the rotation. If he pitches somewhat well, there may be a that offers something for him. Sadly, I think AA may choose to keep him and even pick up his option for next year.
  20. Yet, they're likely to go to a 4-man rotation with the day off on Monday. Basically they're telling Stroman they have no confidence in him. If they choose Redmond, they had better send Stroman down to continue starting every 5th day.
  21. No doubt this thread is a bannable offence, clearly, Ang jinxed Hutchison. On the other hand, he's trying to un-jinx Romero with the other thread he started. However, once you add the Arencibia thread he started yesterday, he should be sentenced to death.
  22. IIRC, they tried to change his delivery last year in ST, but he gave up on the changes and went back to his old one. He done.
  23. Well, the one that's not looking good is Sanchez earning a promo to Buffalo. I can live with that though, he probably needs a full year at AAA in 2015 anyway. I forgot to mention Pompey going to AA with Norris.
  24. I'd be quite happy if Hutchison, Stroman and Nolin were in the rotation by late June. I'd be ecstatic if Sanchez made it to Buffalo and Norris to AA for the 2nd half of the MiLB season.
