Both teams have been on the ump tonight, he must've been either terrible or pretty good. -
I can't blame Gibbons for bringing Rogers into this game. He's on the team so he's gotta pitch. They need another RH, late-inning reliever. It should be Santos, but we know you can't count on him. Obviously, Wagner has been up and down, but the guy I want to see is Stilson.

I don't see how anyone can criticize the Rays for putting out a weak lineup with their lack of resources.

Especially when Happ is a ticking time bomb, he's a big strong guy though, so he should be able to give them 6 innings. He had been saved by Lawrie's great play a couple innings earlier. Anyway...

I scrolled to around the time of the 6th inning and no surprise, everyone was shocked that Gibbons let Happ go out for the 6th. Unbelievable, I'm telling you, Gibby's had a hand in the blown leads. At least Rasmussen got Ortiz out. Encarnacion thought that was the end of the inning.

Couldbe, but I'd worry that these 2 plus Lind would need a platoon partner. AA can't even get one for Lind, how's he gonna get 3. -
I was worried Buck's opinion during ST that he was MLB ready would influence the FO and he'd start with the big club. Thankfully, there's still a bit of hope.

This is how it's gonna be, period. He'll make it to AAA with this BB/K%. Heck, he'll make MLB like this. It is what it is, not much to be said.

Do you think they should also have limits on Hutchison if they have limits on Stroman? I don't mind if they do on both, I just find it inconsistent that they'd cut loose a guy who's only 9 months older than Stroman and only pitched around 60 innings last year, yet would limit a guy who threw around 123.

I think this is what pisses people off. I really don't think anyone minds Hendriks getting a start or 2, but we're all ticked off about calling up your top pitching prospect because of some blown leads by the bullpen when you're grooming him to be a starter. He clearly wasn't called up to "get his feet wet" like some have suggested. Anyway, hopefully, he's given a shot in 18 days or so.

You can't say " they're only 1 game out of 1st in the East and .5 game out of the WC and the fans aren't showing up". This team is hovering around .500 and hasn't been higher than 2 games above .500 all year, that's not enough to excite any fan base. Get to between 5-10 games over .500 by mid June and then you can judge attendance.

Have you looked at salary commitments for next year BEFORE re-signing FA-to-be and picking up options? I suggest you do before you take it for granted that they can afford Melky and Rasmus even just on the QO salary. That would be like 28M for 2 players. -

I said 'let's hope AA can trade Lind for a young 2B with some upside'. I'm hardly suggesting they could get the next Pedroia for Lind, calm-the-f***-down. s***, does this AA character have his apologists.
