I got off work a bit early that day, met some friends at Joyce on 4th in downtown Calgary. I joined the game in progress in the 5th inning, got to see basically everything happen. The bar was packed, and it was the loudest atmosphere and most fun I've ever had watching any game at the bar. Like, it was actually quiet during the game - everyone was watching intently.
When Martin's throw hit Choo's bat and the Rangers subsequently took the lead, everyone lost their mind. But when Jose hit that donger to take the lead, it was absolutely electric. I wish I could relive that moment. It gave me shivers, and still does when I re-watch it.
