    You don't want to accept that Morales could be better than he has been, and you're entitled to have that opinion - no matter how uneducated it may be. I'm not going to attempt to persuade you on this, because it's clear to me that you're firmly of the belief that he's old and therefore declining (which is true), with absolutely no wiggle room. All I did was merely point out that there's a legitimate reason for optimism, which you evidently took personally for some reason and decided to launch an attack. My post wasn't even directed towards you at all, nor was its intent to be malicious or offensive - in fact, it was meant to be quite the opposite. You are clearly looking for an argument, and I'm not about to be the guy to humour you.

    Okay, yeah, sure. Just disregard everything I said if it suits your narrative. Nobody's arguing that Shatkins probably overpaid for his services, but we're stuck with him. I'm merely pointing out that there's a lot of potential offensive upside to what we've seen from Kendrys so far.

    Morales is a career .340 wOBA hitter, you guys - that's comfortably above average. Even in this down year, he's still a league average bat. Obviously, for the contract he signed, we need more from him. But wait! His xStats indicate that his numbers this season should have been a lot better than they have been so far, so perhaps it's just a case of him getting more than his fair share of bad luck. Everybody calm their titties!
