It's not NHL, but it's fascinating drama:
The OHL has suspended the owner and recently hired coaches of the Flint Firebirds.
Apparently, this is the second time the owner fired his coaches this season. The first time was due to the coaches not playing the owner's son enough in one game. The players protested the firings both times.
Lindberg's estimated AHL numbers are apparently pretty good, at least according to prospect-stats.com. FWIW, he topped his team (min. 30 GP) in est PrimaryP/60 and EV est GF% Rel. Seems like a decent prospect.
My F/D is still average, so my win-loss-tie records there are probably on par with my stats. Still, it's pretty frustrating, especially with G depth consisting of Mrazek, Gibson, and Dubnyk.
Goaltending is voodoo in this league. My team is top 6 in all G categories (statistically), yet I'm 6-9-0 in 3 of those categories (including SV%, which I'm 2nd overall with a .925 SV%). My team's worst goaltender is Devan Dubnyk, and he's still putting up a decent year.
Habs trade Jarred Tinordi for All-star captain John Scott and Stefan Elliott. Then, Montreal proceeds to trade Elliott for some leftover defenceman in Nashville.
What is Montreal doing?
It's also interesting to summarize the process that led to Drew Storen:
Alberto Tirado + Jimmy Cordero --> Ben Revere (2.33 years) --> Drew Storen (1 year)
Of course, there's the PTBNL and the cash sent back to the Jays.
