Blue Jackets have fired Todd Richards, replacing him with John Tortorella. That'll be fun!
  2. Still a s***** decision, regardless of result.
  3. Official report had that as the air time, not game time
  4. Above average baserunners for the Royals: 1. Jarrod Dyson (6.3 BsR) - Somehow not in the lineup 2. Lorenzo Cain (6.2) - Expected 3. Alcides Escobar (4.4) - Horrible bat, though 4. Eric Hosmer (3.1) - Good bat, surprisingly good baserunner 5. Paulo Orlando (1.7) - 4th outfielder 6. Alex Rios (1.3) - Expected; somehow starting over Dyson 7. Terrance Gore (0.6) - In NINE games 8. Ben Zobrist (0.1) - Better known for his bat than speed, but okay Moose (-5.4), Perez (-6.7), and Morales (-8.2) are all likely base cloggers. For the Jays: 1. Kevin Pillar (8.1) 2. Ben Revere (8.0) 3. Josh Donaldson (4.0) 4. Ezequiel Carrera (2.8) 5. Jose Bautista (2.3) 6. Ryan Goins (1.7) 7. Dalton Pompey (1.6) Base cloggers include: Edwin Encarnacion (-2.2), Dioner Navarro (-1.5), Justin Smoak (-3.7), and Russell Martin (-4.6)
  5. Also strikeout the least. It's a team that makes a lot of contact, which may play in the Jays favour if the defense holds up.
  6. Jays lineup by wOBA: 1. 0.316 2. 0.398 3. 0.389 4. 0.392 5. 0.381 6. 0.335 7. 0.296 8. 0.310 9. 0.297 Royals lineup by wOBA: 1. 0.271 2. 0.349 3. 0.360 4. 0.355 5. 0.364 6. 0.353 7. 0.300 8. 0.351 9. 0.279 Yost does not know how to lineup.
  7. That's the air time. The game times are at 4:07.
  8. To be fair, his options were limited when most of his rotation consisted of LHP against a power-hitting right-handed lineup. He could have used Gallardo in Game 5, but Cole Hamels could have won that game had his defense not played like little leaguers all of a sudden.
  9. How did I not realize until now that Ned Yost is the brother of the actor who played the Blue Ranger in the original Power Rangers show?
  10. I remember joining in 2008, stirring up s***. I calmed down after I was temporarily banned once or twice. Lots of posters then post here now.
  11. Also, Holland is out.
  12. Pillar's catches will be remembered like Devon White's catches.
  13. Especially against his former team.
  14. Hard to choose. Gave it to Jose, but I'm biased by his magnificent bat flip HR. That swooned me. (Probably Pillar in all honesty)
  15. Sadly, it'll still be FS1. And it will be Joe Buck doing the commentating.
  16. I totally forgot that TFC could potentially make the playoffs this year.
  17. That latter poll is odd. "Add nothing" is one of the categories, but what happens when none of the categories get a 2/3 vote?
  18. Welcome to the WTPDL!
  19. The issue is that teams went into the recent waiver draft unaware of the potential change to the scoring categories. Even for a stat as random as shutouts, it would still be unfair for the teams that weighted goalies more heavily in the recent draft. Maybe 2-3 years is too long, but 1 year is definitely reasonable at this point in the offseason.
