  1. I can see now that calling you an asshat cut you deep. I apologize for that.
  2. Lies. Nox hated you more than even me or Dinger did.
  3. How many people is that thing designed to feed anyway? My first thought was that it's a family meal, but cutting through the cheese and fried onions to separate it wouldn't be feasible. Would one person really eat two feet of that in one sitting?
  4. The Cubs don't really use a closer.
  5. The only player on my team who's tires I pump unironically is Dallas Keuchel.
  6. I bet it tastes amazing.
  7. Williams vs. Dickey. BALLS TO THE WALL.
  8. He could probably get a pick upgrade to a 3rd or something for Motte. Milone is straight garbage though.
  9. This is the DDL. We don't peddle waiver trash here.
  10. At least Papelbon had leverage. He earned the right to veto a trade for whatever reason he wanted. MLB needs to revamp the arb process though. Relievers complaining about roles is silly.
  11. That would be a disaster.
  12. King, I'll pay you $100 if you throw the week and I make the playoffs.
  13. I want that in and around my mouth.
  14. Storen should be pretty embarrassed about this.
  15. Still willing to move Robertson for a top prospect. Have had multiple inquiries and some close deals, but nothing final yet.
  16. I could see a big trade with Milwaukee. Parra, Fiers, and K-Rod all seem like AA targets.
  17. People said the same about Wells because he was very laid back. "Wells doesn't try" "Wells doesn't care".
  18. Yes. See: Jose Reyes sucks at baseball thread.
  19. The team wasn't trading for 2010-2012 Reyes. They were trading for slightly past his prime Reyes. The Reyes they got averaged about 3.4 fWAR/150 in his age 30-32 seasons, and missed a bit more time to injury than we would have liked. That's literally exactly what anyone would have reasonably expected from him.
  20. That comment doesn't make sense. The nature of his skill set was that his weakness were loud (obvious throwing errors) and his biggest strengths (baserunning and being about 25% above average offensively for a shortstop) were more subtle. He was a very good player here.
  21. Pretty much exactly what we all could have expected. Played in 305 games (72% of the team's games), racked up 6.7 fWAR, and was generally pretty exciting, especially in 2013. All in all, above-average play from short for ~40 million over 2.5 years at ~$6M/ WAR. If he were a free agent signing and not a trade acquisition I think people would have loved him.
  22. In 2017 those three players will have an average age over 32 and cost $60M.
  23. That's a bad loss. At home to the worst team in baseball with some random scrub on the mound.
