CS rate has a lot more to do with the pitcher than the catcher. Trying to infer anything about Navarro's arm based on CS% in backup catcher innings wouldn't be wise. -

I don't think there's really a situation under which a $30M per year increase to a budget is best spent on long-term deal for a pitcher. -
Things should be better with Cobb and Smyly back next year. Those two with Odorizzi and Archer should be legit, and Moore, Karns, and Guerrieri can fight for the 5th spot.

I think you're drifting closer and closer to a rebuild season. No picks or prospects, and your entire team except Hosmer, Grandal, Pollock, and Harvey will be 30+ next year.

Yeah. Martin shouldn't have a single day off through the playoffs unless he's too hurt to play. I'd also slot Stroman in second. I'm all for the Dickey effect, but there should be zero chance of Dickey getting more starts in a series than a healthy Stroman.
