  1. You referenced Occam's razor earlier. Using it in this case would lead you to assume he's probably really f***ing good without it.
  2. *your shtick And to what extent is it effecting, say, Chris Davis the baseball player right now? 20%? Probably not. 5%? 1%? Enough that he should have an asterisk beside his name for all time because he was unfortunate enough to have ADHD? He's currently hitting at 42% above league average. We have no idea what he'd be at without Adderall and ADHD. Maybe 30%. Maybe 50%. But seeing as we actually have no idea what he'd be doing if he didn't have a disorder, I don't think it's fair to attribute all of his success to medication that he's (one of 119 MLB players) taking.
  3. 1. No, but like teenage boys they're in an environment where ADHD is likely to be A) detrimental, and diagnosed. 2. Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn't. If it does, to what extent? Does it even matter? If someone with a medical problem is able to treat that problem with medication and operate at a level normal for people without the medical problem, why should he be demonized for taking the medication? Are we going to hate on diabetic players for taking insulin? I really hope it comes out that Stroman or Donaldson are on Adderall. Odds are that at least a couple players on the team are. We can all tear Orioles hangout dumn for saying the things you're saying right now.
  4. Actually, no. Almost 10% of teenage boys are prescribed ADHD medication. That 9.9% of MLB players are on ADHD medication isn't surprising in that light. Occam's razor would lead one to conclude that most MLB players prescribed ADHD medication are trying to treat a disorder. Some might not be, but that's not really for us to judge. Demonizing the taking of prescription medication used to treat diagnosed health problems, yay!
  5. Trading Braun for Waino and then having Waino die has probably ruined my season. DH in the NL plz.
  6. Steroids aren't taken as a medical treatment for a legit disorder. ~10% of MLB players are on ADD/ADHD medication. ~5% of adults in the general population are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. It's not a stretch to say that professional athletes are a lot more likely than the general population to have a disorder correctly diagnosed. Demonizing the guy for using medication to improve his quality of life isn't really fair. Let alone the fact that we have absolutely no idea whether or not Adderall is effecting his performance.
  7. The 'it's the Adderall' posts are annoying. There are over 100 MLB players taking Adderall, and not all of them are mashing 45 homers.
  8. I wonder who would be in on him at $100+M. Boston? Maybe the Dodgers or Nationals?
  9. Holy s***: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/chris-davis-incredible-feat-of-strength/
  10. "And the scary thing is that he's 27. He's only going to get better".
  11. The gauche era was the nadir of your posting career.
  12. Ladies and gentlemen: the forum's most annoying poster 2015.
  13. Damn do I ever love Mark Buehrle.
  14. I think it's probably safe to drop him.
  15. I'll check tomorrow whether my Colin Rea add was legal. I apologize in advance if it isn't.
  16. No moderation + functionality from 1995 + a legit insane person posting hundreds of times a day over dozens of accounts, all with different personalities.
  17. There's just a higher likelihood of ripping someone off completely in the BBDL. You should have just said that people in that league are dumn so you lowball everyone because there's a decent chance it works.
  18. Shields for McKinney, Chance Cisco, Rookie Davis, and Jeff Locke. The BBDL is pretty awful.
  19. Be careful what you wish for.
  20. I know it's a minority opinion, but I like how the Royals are built. Leveraging their giant OF by acquiring a bunch of elite OF defenders, and then leveraging them by going cheap on a rotation of flyball guys. Then you have the elite pen, and now Cueto as the head of the staff. They have an identity. Not sure if Moore planned any of this or if it just kind of fell into place though.
  21. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/just-a-bit-outside/story/jon-lester-still-has-things-under-control-081415 I find this whole thing to be fascinating. How does a major league ace and 10-year vet struggle so much throwing the ball to first?
