  1. Damn, your e-peen just grew like 3 inches.
  2. Kiermaier injured
  3. The forum only has one mod.
  4. Since when does Wei-Yin Chen sit 93-94? Guy is blowing fatsballs by people.
  5. If I'm a betting man, I think it's Stroman Hutchison Dickey Osuna mid-tier free agent signing (Chen, Leake, Lackey, Kennedy, or Latos) I don't think you relegate Osuna and his 3-pitch to the pen permanently. I also think there's basically 0 chance of an Estrada QO.
  6. What goes up must come down. The team isn't going to keep crushing people 15-2 every night. Donaldson is going to break a femur or something.
  7. Right on raysjays. I always knew you were a sensible guy.
  8. Kiermaier just stole a homerun from Machado.
  9. I'm pretty sure the average main board poster is like 15.
  10. I've already started this thread.
  11. I don't even want to know what my record would have been this year without a loaded pen. My rotation was a disaster all year.
  12. Yeah, probably. You take his obviously great offensive numbers, great league-wide defensive reputation, and the fact that the nerd in the broom closet says he's a good framer and basically write a blank cheque.
  13. I think his earlier work showed more sabre inclination than his recent work. You don't need a bunch of nerds to tell you that Donaldson, Martin, Price and Tulo are good players.
  14. The only two hurdles next year will be failure to bolster the rotation with the departure of Buehrle and Price, and possible attrition for the old core. 2016 should be a very good season.
  15. I apologize in advance for what silvergun is about to do. I won't enjoy it any more than you will.
  16. Man, I sure hope the Dietrich hype train fares better than the Montgomery one.
  17. You just worded my thoughts a lot better than I did. Obviously they have an analytics team and solicit opinions, but overall I've seen no evidence that the Beeston/AA team is pushing any boundaries. It doesn't take a genius to realize that Donaldson, Price, Tulo, Martin, etc.. are good players. He's probably improved a bit from the dark days of trading Napoli for Francisco, signing Cordero because ERA, and giving everyday starting jobs to JPA, Thames and Sierra, but I'd be comfortable saying a good portion of this forum is more familiar than AA with baseball analytics.
  18. That's not a knock on his work. But where's the evidence that AA has embraced sabermetrics?
  19. Why would you want your direct report extended long-term without developing any kind of working relationship?
  20. I don't think there's any evidence at all that AA puts stock in analytics. In fact, there's every reason to believe that he doesn't.
  21. Maybe not Seattle, but you wonder if he might be inclined to look elsewhere. Shapiro is young enough that AA now has a ceiling in Toronto, and very likely less autonomy than he had yesterday. If, say, Washington or Seattle came calling you have to think he'd listen.
  22. Eww, tentative 2016 True Cards offense: C - Vogt 1B - Abreu 2B - Kendrick 3B - Dietrich SS - Miller/Gyorko CF - Eaton OF - Trumbo OF - Van Slyke Util - V-Mart Probably another rebuild year next year unless I find a gem or two on the waiver wire early.
  23. You might need a shortstop and a couple SP 5s, but yeah your team should be a beast again next year.
