  1. Man, two of my absolute favourites. Gonna have to root for Houston though.
  2. There's a song called 'The Maple Leaf Forever'?
  3. What an odd thing to get worked up about.
  4. Agreed. We need to show that Canada-hating commie who's boss!
  5. Of course. Toronto is the best team in the playoffs. I'm saying that I think Houston is a very dangerous team that is being overlooked a bit. The Jays aren't going to waltz into the world series without some sweating. Probably not anyway. Houston is capable of making them sweat.
  6. Yes, and the standings reflect what that means over a 162 game schedule. But an offense that includes Altuve, Correa, Springer, Gomez, and a red hot Chris Carter is capable of out gunning any team in the league over a short stretch. And they're supported by a very good pen, a bona fide ace, and Kazmir, McCullers, and McHugh. I don't think they're getting enough credit. Darkhorse WS candidate IMO.
  7. Nope. It's so crazy that the deal happened with Stroman not included. Wow, a lot of people thought that was a huge overpay.
  8. Houston will be at their most vulnerable is round 1 (if they get there) with Keuchel getting just one start. In a 7 game series, with Keuchel starting 2 or 3 games, they're scary. That offense can erupt at any time.
  9. Win. They're better than Texas.
  10. Starting an average (or below) lefty against Toronto seems like a bad idea. They should try to avoid starting him.
  11. I'm surprised you say this. I think Houston is a huge threat, and the Royals have won a f***ing ton of baseball games in the last two years. I think Texas is the worst of the 10 playoff teams.
  12. No discussion on this yet? Looks like a mismatch. Texas' only good starter is Hamels, and he won't even likely pitch in game 1. After that it's Gallardo and Colby Lewis. Offense is pretty dangerous, but the Jays are probably going to destroy their pitching staff.
  13. I don't think you can make a convincing argument that Donaldson was better than Trout. They're a wash statistically. You can carve it up a bunch of different ways, and they're a wash. The deciding factors for me are that a) Trout has won before, and the Angels are going home and Donaldson just carried the Jays on his back to their first playoff berth in 22 years. I wouldn't usually factor in either, but I don't think you can choose one of them as the better player this year.
  14. I think it will be Donaldson in a landslide, and it probably should be.
  15. Kershaw just hit 300 strikeouts.
  16. I really can't believe the umpiring in this game. If you're going to give someone a bit of a liberal zone, this was the game for it. There were at least 3 balls that could have been called strikes and nobody would have argued.
  17. Goddamn f***ing rays s*** the bed all f***ing season, and the one game I want them to go down quietly the score 6 f***ing runs in the first inning.
  18. If the defense f***ing costs Buehrle his 200 innings...
  19. The Mariners have had so much potential to be fun. Watching Felix pitch at home is one of the best games you can watch, and Kuma is awesome too. Their offense has been unwatchable for years, and they've ignored defense though.
