  1. I don't think he'll certainly provide anything.
  2. If he's worth 3 wins at 8M/win on a 13M contract that's still like 11M in surplus value, plus the comp pick. I'd do it.
  3. Would love Chapman. He could be like a 3-4 win addition.
  4. Simmons is scary as a long-term building block. As soon as he loses a step he's finished as an above-average player.
  5. Should have been A-Rod. It's stupid to have players active in the league that aren't eligible to win any awards.
  6. Sounds pretty airtight to me.
  7. It's clearly the player + injury concerns. He's probably not as good as most people think he is.
  8. Chavez would be desirable.
  9. Should be 100% by spring training.
  10. Paxton suxxxxxx (probably)
  11. The Twins are an awful org
  12. I can get on board with trading Tulo, but Jesus Christ don't enter the season with Goins as your best/only shortstop.
  13. The new system is dumn.
  14. Jesus Christ. Someone stop this man.
  15. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/marlins-talk-dee-gordon-extension.html Marlins are under the impression that it might cost ~120M to lock Hech up. It seems that propriety defensive metrics and probably conversations with other teams have led them to believe he's a lot better than UZR and DRS credit him for being. He might be Simmons good.
  16. silvergun strikes again. What did you get for Lynn?
  17. Same years of team control though (I think). You can't consider Stroman's free agent years as assets.
  18. Lance Lynn getting TJS
  19. That's probably the most fair proposal yet.
  20. Or they could just eat the cash and trade him for like Puig or something instead of Pillar, some spare parts, and enough cash to sign Mike Pelfrey.
  21. It's kind of amazing how much Chris Johnson's 2013 looks like Chris Colabello's 2015. What an awful extension that was.
  22. IMO Colabello is pretty much worthless on the market. 32-year old 1B with a 110 wRC+ who can't run and is below average defensively.
  23. Not really. If you're trading an elite player like Carrasco you're not going to significantly water down your return to save $17M or whatever.
