Anyone have interest in Howie Kendrick? Slow start, but he's been doing his regular thing lately, and has 1B, 2B, 3B, OF eligibility. Best fit would be an SP 4 or 5.

He's probably not a center fielder and if that's the case, it's a bit of a different profile in right (which he certainly has the arm for). His success at his age in Double-A is a great sign, and if you wanted to plant him in the discussion with the guys on the HM list, I wouldn't fight you. It's just a potential tweener profile where he's going to be extremely reliant on the hit tool. I wonder if he'd be willing to tear up next year's deal for an extension. Something like 8/250 is a lot more palatable if it's his 31-38 seasons than if it's 33-40.

How do police even investigate something like this? She obviously showed up willingly, then waited two days for the kit (would the drugs still be in her system?) then another 10 days to report it. Even if the drugs were in her system, how do you prove that he gave them to her (and without her consent?). Seems like a long shot that charges are even laid.

I've always liked this idea. Top closers still hold their value because they get like twice as many saves as top holds guys get holds.

It seems to generate a lot more offers than the vague "so and so is available" though. Most of the auction returns have been fair. But if someone wants to trade me an SP2 not via auction, that's cool too.
