You don't think what's much of a question? He's a guy who battled with anxiety issues and who has a unique personality. Nobody is debating that. I don't think he's crazy, or that his personality really matters at all when it comes to his ability to perform or be part of a team. I remember countless debates about Greinke on the old forum when he was a free agent the first time, that probably sounded a lot like the conversations on other teams' forums. So many posts along the lines of 'nah, I wouldn't want that headcase pitching games in Yankee Stadium and Fenway'. You see posts like that all the time about so many players based on a story or two.

Not addressed to you specifically, but it's funny how player personalities get magnified and blown up to be completely unrealistic based on 1-2 news stories. People have been calling Greinke crazy/weak/a headcase for years because he had some anxiety issues. Armchair psychologist sports fans are hilarious. There are 1-2 players in the league that I'd say I've read enough bad things about to question whether or not they're crazy/bad people/a headcase.

Yeah, they seem like one of the few teams who might have an interest in rostering him. Qualls might be done, but he was very good as recently as 2015. And even if he is done, we save $2.5M and are finished with the financial commitment after 2017.

I don't really understand where the 'BTS loves platoon guys' thing comes from. I've cycled through a lot of them during a retool in the DDL, but that would be like me posting about how much you love terrible players because you've had a lot of them during your DDL rebuild. In BORED I have Naquin, who was pretty valuable, and in LOD I have a very good offense with at least 7 guys who will play every day.

Switch hitter with a career 105 wRC+ vs. RHP and 106 vs. LHP. Platoon guy.

Would still like to move Asdrubal Cabrera. Guy hit 23 dongers with a 119 wRC+ last year, and plays this year at 31 (I mention that because I assumed he was like 36 up until the draft last year. Looking for an SP.

It's crazy that the Chens, Samardzijas, Leakes and Kennedys of the world got bigger deals last year than people are projecting EE to get in a weak FA market.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want him, I'm saying he has too many issues for me to want to give up an asset like Osuna for him. The mediocre play, the injuries, and then possibly the worst reputation of any player in the league. There are a lot of hurdles to clear on the path to reaching his potential.

Their reputations aren't close to the same. Few people in Toronto have anything bad to say about Bautista. There is every indication that Puig is disliked by his teammates, his coaching staff, and his management, in addition to having a terrible reputation with the media and other teams in the league. The simplest explanation for that is that he's a miserable prick.

I'm sure he's a swell guy and everyone else in baseball is the real problem.
