  1. This seems like the kind of thing we hear every time a major player is nearing free agency. He’ll stay, for $200M.
  2. This is pretty cool. I love when teams do this kind of thing.
  3. Well, HF is an over-moderated safe space cesspool, so if they like it there they probably won’t like it here.
  4. I don’t think that’s really true. The biggest problem with the forum, at least as far as traffic is concerned, is that the team blows. It’s been that way for the 15+ years I’ve been posting: if the team sucks, people don’t post. Secondary issues are the constant spam and general bugginess creating a terrible posting experience, and that doesn’t seem likely to change anytime soon.
  5. Do you guys remember when it took less than 15 seconds to load a page, had moderators that actually post, and didn’t leave Russian spam bot threads littering the forum for days at a time? I remember
  6. Mods using me to deflect comments about how s***** this forum has become SMH
  7. What a great season for him. I would have bet against him ever hitting 200 innings in a season.
  8. I can’t freeze rosters from my phone (what’s the point of desktop-only settings tools?) if someone with commish powers can do it, please do. Otherwise I’ll get it tonight. Either way, the deadline for roster moves was last night, and final offseason rosters are updated on the sheet.
  9. I guess Gray is ahead of Tanaka on the depth chart you pedant.
  10. The Yankees are a fun team. I'll probably be rooting for Cleveland to come out of the AL, but New York would also be nice. A lineup featuring two young superstars, a legit ACE, one of my personal favourite pitchers as #2, and an absolutely loaded bullpen. Lots there to like, regardless of what types of players you enjoy.
  11. I think there’s a lot of room between a superteam (are the Indians a superteam? They didn’t tank to get there) and the Twins. The Twins are something like a 0.500 team. That’s below what I personally consider acceptable from a team I want to see win the WS.
  12. There's a poll on Jeff Sullivan's article today, and 68% of respondents have voted that the Twins winning the WS this year would be good for baseball. I'm surprised by that. I hate the idea of a mediocre team winning it all. What's the point of building great teams if that happens?
  13. I understand. All of that losing has to take its toll. You have my empathy.
  14. The game is always changing man. Three years ago SP ERA was like 3.8 and it felt like mid-rotation fantasy SPs were a dime a dozen and anybody could throw 180 innings of 4 ERA ball. Now SP ERA is like 4.5, good starters feel like a premium asset again, but it feels like anyone can pop 25 homers. You just have to keep adjusting.
  15. Hey Boxy, your boy Zunino has 24 homers and a 122 wRC+ and has been the 7th best C in our format this year. You should make me a wise offer for this young stud.
  16. Reminder that there’s just over 36 hours left to make moves in yahoo.
  17. TOS surgery for Carter Capps. That’s pretty much it for him.
  18. Thanks, but me and P2F just crushed it.
  19. I've started transferring rosters to the spreadsheet, and my plan is to chip away at it over the next few days. If people can help me, that would be great.
  20. I have an excess of relievers and want to re-stock my farm a bit, so I'm putting Sean Doolittle on the market.
  21. Yes. And Roster moves will be allowed through Wednesday in yahoo.
  22. Shouldn't the boozehounds be streaming like 5 guys tomorrow?
