    It's been clear for awhile now that Maddon's biggest strength is his ability to manage people. Whatever reputation he still has as some kind of tactical genius is probably not deserved. I'd take him here in a heartbeat.

    It was incredibly hyperbolic at the time. He had put up 1-win in close to 100 games in Colorado, and looked like a broken shell of his former self, which lead to Colorado jumping ship while they still could.
