It really depends on whether or not Duchene re-signs.
  2. If they do turn it around before then, it will be largely on the back of Freeman, Albies and Acuna, none of whom are even a product of their rebuild. They`ve done such a terrible job collecting talent over the last three years.
  3. It's kind of amazing how bad Atlanta's rebuild was. Three years in a row with less than 73 wins, and their top-10 prospect list consists of three bats signed via international free agency, and 7 pitchers. They've been terrible for three years in order to collect Ender Inciarte and a bunch of semi-interesting pitching prospects.
  4. I wouldn't be buying. It looks like the biggest difference between Garcia in 2017 and Garcia previously is about 70 points of BABIP. His floor is so low. Also, he's pretty fat.
  5. Probably not going to keep two catchers, so one of Zunino and Ramos is available.

I don't really understand this. Was Turris not willing to sign that same deal to stay in Ottawa? Hopefully the Senators can work out a long-term extension with Duchene.
  7. Very, very unlikely that this FO trades someone like Bichette for a guy with two years of control remaining. Their MO the last two offseasons has been to make short-term additions without borrowing anything from the future. That will almost certainly be the approach again this offseason.
  8. Probably a couple of very good prospects.
  9. Still looking to move a reliever. I have the following: Aroldis Chapman Dellin Betances Sean Doolittle Anthony Swarzak Trevor Hildenberger A.J. Minter Values obviously vary, and Chapman is most unlikely to move.
  10. I don't really see an alternative. I wouldn't start the season with either Jansen or McGuire on the 25-man, and both are too valuable to be let go. They spent all of last year with 3 on the 40-man, and I don't think a 4th would have been that big an imposition.
  11. I'm really hoping that the team acquires a competent backup. We've been dealing with a tire fire in that spot for years. - find a backup that won't be a -1 win sinkhole - get Jansen and McGuire on the 40-man - outright Maille and Lopez - expose Pentecost in the Rule V

After the Leafs hot start I started seeing articles referring to them as Cup favourites. I’m enjoying this fall immensely.
  13. Hmm... I don't really remember how we did it before. I was thinking of the NHL, which does a lottery for the first round only and then reverts to standings. I'm not taking the time to change it, but if someone wants to poll people for a consensus and then make the change if that's what people want, be my guest.
  14. It's just the top-5 affected by the lottery. Every pick after is according to standings.
  15. Lineup card: (Click on the pick to reveal the team) Pick 1: Computer Guys (had 4 balls) Pick 2: Lotta Sponge (had 3 balls) Pick 3: Greenwood (had 2 balls) Pick 4: ABOM (EBDB BNB) (had 5 balls) Pick 5: EBDB BNB (had 1 ball) It seems right...
  16. OK, pick numbers are updated on the sheet. Please have a look at your teams to make sure everything looks right.
  17. I assigned the pick numbers, and the one discrepancy is that both P2F and Dr.Dinger own Dinger's 2nd. Can you gents sort that out?
  18. It’s especially surprising because Abom gives zero regard to injury histories.
  19. I don't own Upton anywhere, but it's not all bad. He gets to hit behind Mike Trout, so he should rack up the RBIs.
  20. This should be interesting.
  21. You should be embarrassed about mentioning every one of these guys as players that someone might give you an asset for.
  22. If the Angels could keep their starters healthy, they could be pretty dangerous. A lineup that includes Trout, Upton, Simmons, and Calhoun is pretty dangerous.
  23. No, I just like their team and wanted them to win.
