It's sad, what Hart and Copolella have done to that team. They've overseen three brutal seasons, and what do they have of value? Freeman (inherited) Albies (inherited) Acuna (inherited) Inciarte and a bunch of pitching prospects, none of which look elite. Just an atrocious job managing the rebuild.

Braves officially lose Maitan. That Coppy/Hart FO was one of the worst in recent memory. Not only did they completely botch the rebuild, they also brought shame to the entire organization.

I'm gonna pump Ramos' tires a bit here. He's entering his age-30 season, and last year he started to look better after shaking the rust off from that injury. His wRC+ by month: June - 34 July - 51 August - 95 September - 141

I was assuming that they'd DFA'd him and announced that they intend to outright him, because there's no way he's had time to clear waivers. Maybe it's different for the period between now and the Rule V?

Yeah, he's basically Johnny Mac (or Goins): good infield defender, max effort guy who his teammates love, but cant hit at all. I don't think he's better than Goins, but I'm also not convinced he's worse, and the option year and ~$1.2M in savings make him more desirable than Goins IMO.

Hopefully this means the end of Ryan Goins. He's the same player, only he has an option year and will play for the minimum.

I’m expecting a better player (Cozart) to get about 3/40. I think Tulo would sign for 1/10 or something on the market this year.

I don’t even really have a problem with Koehler being tendered if they think he’s worth it. 6M or whatever for a swingman who’s stuff might play up in relief is about the going rate.
