  1. So the locks to make the lineup/bench are probably: C - Martin 1B - Smoak 2B - Travis 3B - Donaldson SS - Tulowitzki CF - Pillar LF/RF - Pearce LF/RF - DH - Morales SS/2B/3B - Diaz 2B/3B - Solarte LF/RF - Carrera C - Hernandez/Alford and maybe Pompey in play for the last OF spot, and Maile, McGuire, and Jansen in play for the backup C spot. The bench actually looks good.
  2. I don't expect the team to be very god anyway. I think they're doing all they can do given the circumstances: support Tulo and Travis with legitimate MLB players who will be above replacement level if/when they are needed, and doing it without mortgaging the future.
  3. Anyone know if Hernandez is out of options in 2018? Roster resource isn't working for me.
  4. This is a good trade. Infield depth has been improved significantly, and on the cheap this offseason.
  5. Thanks for applying BBBB. Unfortunately you were not successful in this competition, but your resume has been put on file in the event that a position opens up down the road.
  6. I remember posting during Gustavo Chacin's MLB debut back in 2004, but I had been posting lightly for a couple of years before that. I think I'm at like 16 years.
  7. We did it, man. We did it.
  8. Waiver picks are assigned on the sheet using the same rules as the MiLB picks. Please double check your teams to make sure everything looks right. As far as I'm aware, there are no outstanding issues.
  9. Hurl is now running GD’s old team
  10. I'm at a weird place in my rebuild where MiLB picks, waiver picks, and non-top-100 prospects have no value to me because I have no room for them, and 30+year old depth pieces (Alonso and LoMo) don't have any real value to me, because I don't need them in 2018, and who knows what they'll be a year from now. Folty and Cotton would have been nice to keep, but I think they probably had like 2nd or 3rd round pick value if I moved them individually, and I can use draft picks to replace them with equally intriguing end of roster guys closer to the cut if I want.
  11. Was reminded of that after I bumped the post. I've messaged Hurl.
  12. GD Fear not, he has no intent to leave DDL or LOD
  13. Bump. One spot has come available.
  14. I think there's more pop there. At 21 Inciarte ran a .101 ISO in A+, and at 22 a 0.080 ISO in AA. Verdugo was at 0.122 at AAA at 21 and 0.134 at AA at 20.
  15. I see a guy who should hit around 0.300, get on base, and retain CF eligibility for awhile. If he can add even 15 HR power, he's Christian Yelich hitting at the top of a stacked lineup. Or maybe he's late career Martin Prado. In any event, I've wanted shares for awhile now.
  16. Boxy is an SP1/SP2 and a 2B/3B away from playoff contention, and has a lot of superfluous pieces to trade: Alonso/Morrison Zimmer Winker Reed Rosenthal Hoffman Frazier McKenzie/Espinoza/Groome/Bichette/Long if he dips into the farm
  17. I'll process tonight. Also, I'm cutting THE Mark Zagunis
  18. You were an early leader for my 2018 poster of the year vote before this mishap. Better luck in 2019.
  19. OH MY GOD I want thank all the little people who propped me up on my 15-year journey to finally become (co) POSTER OF THE YEAR
  20. Yes, you are a satisfied purchaser of Zunino from me. I'll send you a PM.
  21. The following players are available in advance of the cut down: Wilson Ramos Logan Morrison Cesar Hernandez Keon Broxton Kole Calhoun Yonder Alonso Nicky Delmonico Mike Foltynewicz Jharel Cotton Mychal Givens Hector Rondon Alex Claudio Nick Goody Yes, I'm aware that some of these assets are worth next to nothing.
  22. Your team isn't even bad: C - Zunino 1B - Olson 2B - SS - Bregman CF - Benintendi OF - Puig OF - Winker Util - Bird OF - Zimmer SP - Berrios SP - Hendricks SP - Anderson SP - Odorizzi SP - Matz Devenski, Holland Cut everything else, and buy cheap pre-cut depth and maybe a SP1 or 2. You have a lot of established young talent, and there's no reason why you should miss the playoffs if/when a couple of your guys push this year.
  23. Mychal Givens will also be moved before the cut. He's really good!
  24. Kole Calhoun is very available. I want to trade Kole Calhoun.
