  1. Interesting. If it's conditional based on health, they didn't necessarily make it a PTBNL because it's a 40-man guy. Could be anyone in the org in that case.
  2. If so, the return seems very likely to be a 40-man guy. Some potential names: Eric Haase, Cody Anderson, Yu Chang
  3. You don't even know what the return is.
  4. Anbody know if a player on the 40 who didn't pass through waivers can be included here as a PTBNL after the season?
  5. Feels weird that the JD era is over.
  6. Murphy Smith is a real player?
  7. Sanchez really, really sucks. This is a AAA caliber team he's struggling with.
  8. The only misreading of the market we've seen in 3 years was signing Morales. EE is not worth his contract.
  9. Why would we want EE?
  10. It's going to be for 1-2 guys at the back end of some team's top-20 prospect list. Pretty decent gamble for a playoff team.
  11. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/david-wright-the-mets-and-the-cost-of-goodwill/ Jay Jaffe arguing that the Mets should spend $3.2M in real money to get Wright into some September games even though he's been horrific in his minor league rehab games. FG is basically a site for MLBPA shills at this point.
  12. Boxy needs to learn more than 4 notes of My Heart Will Go On
  13. Not necessarily. Teams might not have any room left in the 2018 budget, but would still be willing to part with players worth that same $4M on the market.
  14. I'm aware of the circumstances. If a team is prepared to pay $4M for his services, they'd also be willing to trade 1-2 low-level farm guys worth about the same if the Jays eat the money. The team would opt for actual players, even it means eating the cash, because the optics of just letting him go to save a few bucks are terrible for a FO that already has PR problems.
  15. I don't think the team would let him go for nothing.
  16. I don’t really get it either. I would have expected any playoff team with budget room to put a claim in, if only to block their opposition. A healthy JD could be a difference maker in the playoffs.
  17. Shut the f*** up Spanky.
  18. He cleared revocable waivers.
  19. This guy knows bird law
  20. Bichette and Brinson were similarly valued by prospect lists before the season, but it might be that Miami's internal valuations had Brinson significantly higher than Bichette. If Toronto could have had Yelich for, like, Bichette, Alford, SRF, and some guy I'm sure they would have done it.
  21. I don't know. I don't post there. But it's pretty busy, and you might pick up at least a few new listeners who enjoy the show.
  22. Thanks buddy. BTW, this was probably the best show yet. You guys sound more comfortable. Have you posted a link to the Jays Reddit?
  23. Can I be on the Podcast if you guys replace Boxy with Meg Rowley?
  24. Can someone post this for those of us who can't see the twitter at work?
