The 2016 draft looks pretty solid: - T.J. Zeuch looks like a future back-end starter - Bo Bichette is a top-20 prospect - Cavan Biggio just had a monster season in AA and looks to have MLB potential - J.B. Woodman was turned into 5 years of Aledmys Diaz - Jared Carkuff was used in the Solarte trade - Chavez Young, Josh Palacios, and even Josh Winckowski look a bit interesting

Meh. I don’t want every spot after Stroman being a massive question mark. I see value in being respectable as the kids start breaking in, and even someone like Happ would be a big help with that.

They really should sign a proper free agent. The team isn’t going to be terrible, and a reliable vet could help the next 2-3 years. I’d love to see Keuchel brought in.

The team right now, after it has divested itself of all short-term assets, is still projected as a 78-79 win team with no Vlad.

I think people are being a bit pessimistic about the team’s 2019 chances. Minnesota won the WC last year, and Oakland is going to win this year. There’s no reason why the team can’t be on that level. I actually think the team should make a free agent splash this offseason. The only salary they have committed is Morales and Martin through 2019 and Tulowitzki through 2020. Go out and get two of Keuchel/Happ/Corbin, and maybe an AJ Pollock. And FFS don’t bring back Estrada or keep Sanchez in the rotation.
