  1. I don’t think we’ve had a new poster on this forum in the last two years.

  3. I did not message you about the league.
  4. I hope the new league they're leaving us for ends up being terrible TBQHWY.
  5. The Jays need to get good again so site traffic picks up. Pickings are slim for new owners right now.
  6. Ugh, Urena really sucks. He's one of 2-3 players on the 40-man that I don't even think deserves his spot.
  7. Pretty much everything written about Thornton makes me think of Seth Lugo. That wouldn't be a bad thing.
  8. I thought he’d be back for one more. Sad to see him go.

She was 11 in 1981 Spanky. That’s a pretty deep and dark secret.
  10. Mathis got a 2/6.25 guarantee. Market for catching seems pretty hot.
  11. - sign Corbin/Keuchel - sign Machado - move Andujar to 1B - re-sign Robertson, because why not? That would be the best team we've seen in a long time.
  12. Severino Paxton Tanaka ??? Sabathia C - Sanchez 1B - ??? 2B - Torres 3B - Andujar SS - Gregorius CF - Hicks LF - Stanton RF - Judge OF - Gardner Chapman/Betances/Green That team is absurd.
  13. Wow, the full trade is Sheffield, Dom Thompson-Williams, and Erik Swanson. The latter two might not even be top-20 in New York's system. They pretty much just turned a good pitching prospect with warts into two years of an ace.
  14. If a pitching prospect is the centrepiece this is probably a bad deal.
  15. A couple of moves today: - Nats sign Kurt Suzuki for 2/10 - Indians acquire Chih-wei Hu for Gionti Turner I like that addition for Cleveland.
  16. I'm still peddling C.J. Cron and Ji-Man Choi for MiLB or waiver upgrades.
  17. My recollection is that everyone liked the Happ signing. At least if you're talking about the people on this forum. Edit: I was curious, so I looked it up: https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/5829-JA-Happ-Signing-Good-Bad?highlight=Happ 75% of posters liked the signing. And the no votes were from posters like the dogg and Boxcar.
  18. Big pass from me at the money he's supposed to get.
  19. There's no way I'd wager Mrs. BTS after you broke up with the 19-year old.
  20. I don't like this if it means that the team is going to be relying on Gurriel as an everyday guy. But I feel like I'm lower on Diaz than everyone else. League average bat, but he's 28 and DRS has hated his SS defense the last two years, and he's already a negative on the bases. I bet he gets non-tendered before his arb years are up.
  21. I approve of this North method of dropping teams, if you absolutely must drop teams.
  22. Pearce to the Red Sox for 1/6.25
  23. It's almost impossible to open a Cistulli article and not read the entire thing. He's just an interesting guy.
  24. It's certainly an interesting hire, because it's not immediately obvious that he brings the kinds of skills that front offices typically look for: he's not a coder, he's not a quantitative analyst, and he's not a scout. He's a good communicator who thinks outside the box, and he's really smart. I like that the team identified him as someone who can improve their organization. It's unconventional, but they'll probably be stronger for having him around. I wonder what their pitch to him looked like.
  25. Meg Rowley is the new managing editor of fangraphs. RIP fangraphs.
