  1. He actually would make a decent SP5/6. Of course out of principle I'd never trade for him.
  2. I've been wondering this too. Fisher has graded out as a plus outfielder and average baserunner in almost a full season of MLB time. I haven't seen a single game of his, but I'm pretty sure people are overreacting to him losing a ball in the sun and having it hit him in the face.
  3. I have exactly 3 SPs I'm comfortable rostering in 2020. If anyone is peddling warez, I'm buying.
  4. I don't think there's much chance he's an average bat. If he can put up a wRC+ around 85 and if his defense in CF is elite, than he'll Pillar his way to some 2-win seasons before his legs slow down. He's currently projected for a wRC+ in the 60s, and I don't think you can ever really expect even a highly rated minor league outfielder to be an elite defender, so I'm expecting him to be more of a fast Ryan Goins.
  5. In his last 250 PA at AAA Alford had a 124 wRC+ on a 0.400 BABIP. He's 25 years old. I'm not impressed.
  6. Hi Chris, the best option for you to be able to have free-agent players added to rosters the following day would be to set your free agency claim system to "Automated Priority Order" and have that process daily in the early morning. You'll want to set it to a time where there's no chance of a game still being played. You can change your free agency settings via Commissioner --> League Setup --> Transactions & Periods --> Claim/Drops, Free Agent Claim System: and set to "Automated Priority Order" from there select the days and time you would like your free agents to process, you'll want to select every day of the week.
  7. Yeah, noticed that earlier. I guess with the free league there are two options: - Let the DL size limit be the control on people leaving guys on the DL past the point where they're activated, with maybe some allowance for a commish to intervene in cases of clear tanking. - Use same-day transactions like we do in LoD, in which case 0 period delay isn't an issue. Is there an argument against transactions taking effect on the day they're made, or did we just do it that way because that's what Yahoo does? Seems like our weekly add limit would prevent excessive streaming, and the only impact would be that most teams would use all 5 adds every week as they stream a hitter in for benched players on weekend games.
  8. The biggest potential adjustment I see is that I’m not 100% sure you can delay adds to the following day. I’ve asked Fantrax customer support how/if it can be done.
  9. I think combining the drafts is interesting, but for BORED I’d track them separately at least in 2020. As you say, they’re rarely traded, and I want any migration to have as few rule changes as possible to help the malcontents swallow the change.
  10. Calling him a preternatural hitter isn’t writing him off. He’s going to absolutely rake. I just think he’s always going to be a fatass.
  11. Or track the waiver picks separately.
  12. Have either of you guys figured figured out how to make it so adds only process for the next day?
  13. Also noteworthy: you can set it so that a team who doesn't meet its pitching minimums only punts rate stats (OBPA, K/BB) instead of all 7 pitching cats.
  14. BTW I just created a new league in Fantrax, and under Rosters -> Positions there's an option for injured reserve enforcement type. If you set the Number of Lineup Periods until Injured Reserve Enforcement takes effect to 0, you don't need a premium league to enforce IR activation.
  15. Still talking with Org, and we'll have a final determination before the end of the week.
  16. Not 100% sure yet. BORED is a more vulnerable league than the DDL, and I don't want to lose good members. On the other hand, I'm very tired of running the league off a spreadsheet, and I don't think any of the issues with Fantrax come close to outweighing the benefit of eliminating all of the manual processing required if we remain in Yahoo. I'm increasingly loathe to cater to the wants of the remainers who won't help out with the administrative burden that their vote requires.
  17. Should be deleted.
  18. I was kinda hoping he'd been working out a ton and packing serious muscle under all the fat. At that point his only issue would be his diet. Now he has to start working out and fix his diet at the same time.
  19. After reading about Vlad literally having never stepped foot in a gym before, I'm down to zero hope that he ever improves his fitness. He's a preternaturally gifted hitter, but the level of laziness required for a professional athlete to have literally never tried working out is off the charts. That's not a switch you just flip.
  20. The roster eligibility seems like a non-issue to me. Let owners request commish intervention on affected players for 2020, and adopt the stricter thresholds for 2021.
  21. Also, trading season is open. I'm interested in dumpster diving for a crusty old top-400 1B or OF who has 1-2 years of fantasy relevance remaining
  22. Everyone has until Friday to pick up whatever trash they want on the waiver wire. I'll start adding rosters to the spreadsheet this weekend. I'm sure all of the remainers (Dinger, L54, connorp) will happily pitch in and help with the transfer. Please PM me your e-mails and I'll grant you sheet access. The four of us can do 5 teams each.
  23. You had one of the best offensive days I’ve ever seen today. Made it too close for comfort.
  24. Congrats to 2-time BORED champ L54. I’ve now finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I can’t close the deal
