Lorenzo Cain got 5/80 entering his age-32 season. Entering his age-33 season Marte is going to do similarly. Maybe just 4 years. -

The criticisms of using an algorithm to determine arb salaries pretty much boil down to "I don't like change". Obviously there would be many issues to work out, but the current process objectively uses much worse information than an algorithm would.

On one hand, that's stupid. On the other hand, players are currently paid based on things like wins, saves, HR, and RBI, so this would probably be an improvement.

I wasn't planning on trading my highest pick. Maybe 9, but would have to be closer to the draft. Anything after that I'd move 1 for 1 for the same round pick next year.

Yeah of course. I sold him a couple months ago in the only league I owned him in. I still see the upside in a 26-year old a couple years removed from an MVP season though.
