  1. Thanks Jimbo. So I have until 10 am tomorrow to trade the pick. I’m willing to trade down one or two slots to FantasyNewb or DL73, or trade the pick outright for either a top-20 dynasty asset or a couple of slightly lower-ranked players.
  2. Yeah, I'm thinking like 60M.
  3. Someone might give him a 2-year deal. He had elbow surgery and it's not clear when he's going to be able to pitch, and he's a FA after 2022.
  4. Just Jim willing to trade for an early dispersal pick?
  5. To add to Jim's note above, I think this covers just about anything: - Tomorrow at midnight is the deadline to declare that you will be participating. - Jimcanuck will be doing a random draw for the draft order sometime on the 1st. The draft will snake, and the pick order will be tracked in the spreadsheet linked below. - The "Dispersal 2021" tab has all of the prospects and picks available in the draft. In addition to these, any free agents in Fantrax with at least one MLB regular season game are eligible to be selected. - When it's your turn, select a prospect or MLB player by adding the player in Fantrax. To select a pick, PM or e-mail a commish with your selection or post your selection in the BORED thread on BJMB. - Any non-drafting teams can trade into the draft at any time. - Teams holding dispersal picks can trade picks up until 1 hour after they've been on the clock for a given pick. After an hour, they have to use the pick. - Draft windows will be 12 hours long, and teams will have that window halved every time they miss a full window. - The draft will continue until all drafting teams have full rosters or decline to make further picks.
  6. I know I won’t know until Wednesday what my draft slot is, but I’m willing to start talking trade now.
  7. They're setting themselves up to be bad for another 5-10 years, and I don't think they sniff the playoffs. Shatkins did it right: build the foundation, then add the expensive finishing touches. And they're still acting responsibly: Ryu is a good 2022 from making good on his 80M deal, and I think Gasuman is a pretty high floor signing as well. When Semien bidding went to high, they walked away.
  8. They literally have zero other good players. It's going tio be Seager, Semien, Gray, and a handful of guys projected for 1-2 WAR. They don't even have a great farm. This is one if the worst rebuilds ever.
  9. Can't wait to see what the Dodgers do. Scherzer, Seager, and maybe Taylor out, and 2-3 comp picks in. They'll be looking to replace the lost talent.
  10. 325M for an injury-prone player entering his age-28 season who hasn't even had a 4-win season since 2017. This is one of those 'albatross the moment the ink dries' situations.
  11. I trust Gausman more than Ray going forward. As good as Ray was, there are two major red flags: he's a two-pitch pitcher, and his command has abandoned him for entire seasons at a time in the past.
  12. I can't believe there's a heated argument in a thread about a Yimi Garcia signing. Well, I can, but its still silly. Not much to do here except throw our hands up and assume that Shatkins see things under the hood that they think make him a bit better than a reliever who will provide like 3-4 runs above replacement.
  13. Must be massive money to poach him from LAD
  14. I just want to point out again how inept the Rockies FO is. Keeping Gray at the deadline, then not qualifying him, then watching him sign for 4/56 is hilarious.
  15. Holy s***
  16. It's so weird watching a Jays team that shops at the top of the FA market.
  17. Lafreniere available for a goalie
  18. Is baseball the only sport where voters basically just vote based on what they think about players on a personal level? I only follow baseball and hockey, and this kind of thing doesn't come up in hockey voting.
  19. Look at this ballot. LOOK AT IT.
  20. Please stop trying to make arm barn happen
  21. Meh. 5.5m a year for a pen arm that might be a few runs above replacement. I'm ambivalent.
  22. Votto is an absolute legend, and will one day grace the halls of Cooperstown.
  23. It's real
  24. I'm guessing it's 2/8 with an option
