  1. The criticisms of using an algorithm to determine arb salaries pretty much boil down to "I don't like change". Obviously there would be many issues to work out, but the current process objectively uses much worse information than an algorithm would.
  2. I'll send you a PM later tonight.
  3. Hey FantasyNewb, want to join a dynasty league?
  4. I'm fairly sure they're currently just looking things like errors/fielding %.
  5. On one hand, that's stupid. On the other hand, players are currently paid based on things like wins, saves, HR, and RBI, so this would probably be an improvement.
  6. Btw if anyone knows someone who might want to join, please let me know. Off-board members have mostly not worked well, but we’d still consider it.
  7. OK, sad to see you go, but we'll work on finding someone
  8. I know Jimbo
  9. lol, was trying to keep it objective. But yeah, I offered Espino for Ruiz and Jim got angry.
  10. Keibert Ruiz for Daniel Espino is: - unreasonable offer in either direction - one side more valuable, but not by a lot - about even and a matter of of personal need/preference ???
  11. I wasn't planning on trading my highest pick. Maybe 9, but would have to be closer to the draft. Anything after that I'd move 1 for 1 for the same round pick next year.
  12. Also still looking to move 2022 picks for 2023 picks.
  13. Feel free to send me something.
  14. I like Kelly a bit. Ruiz too, but I'm probably not willing to pay what you're asking for him.
  15. His AAA performance this year at 24 was very concerning. I think you're hoping for 2021 Mike Zunino.
  16. Anybody selling good catching?
  17. Anybody selling catching?
  18. Yeah of course. I sold him a couple months ago in the only league I owned him in. I still see the upside in a 26-year old a couple years removed from an MVP season though.
  19. Rodriguez is a bit scary to me. His fatball velo is unimpressive, and he doesn't really throw a breaking ball. I'm always skeptical of the long-term viability of fastball-changeup starters. Chris Paddack has a simiar profile from the right side, and he has similar issues - when hitters spit on the change he has to come at them with the fastball and it gets crushed. I'd take both in my rotation, but I'd want Rodriguez to be my second-best starter.
  20. Fun Sandy Alcantara fact: I once traded him straight up for Emilio Pagan in BORED. I am not a smart man.
  21. I think it's close. Bellinger's Steamer projection is still 247/346/511 coming off an abysmal season, and there are counting stats to be had in the Dodger lineup. What steamer doesn't know is how much the shoulder was responsible for his recent play, and whether it will get back to normal with more time.
  22. Trading an arm to "clear a rotation spot" doesn't exist in baseball.
