  1. And yeah, I feel the same way. I actually miss caring about this team.
  2. Worst part about this is that Santos had trade value in the offseason. The team will get nothing in return for him and Janssen, when they should have been traded for assets + $9 million in payroll space with which to improve the 2014 roster.
  3. Why bother? He was poor in 20 innings this year, so anyone who ever said he's a good pitcher should be mocked. The torontobluejays messageboards way.
  4. Because the better Juan Francisco is a photographer.
  5. Why the hell are people quoting CHP?
  6. It's only useless commentary in the same way every post on this forum is useless commentary. There just isn't a basis for the belief that guys like Mills, Rasmussen, McGowan and Sanchez are better pitchers ROS than Santos and Rogers. I'm sorry that you don't like that opinion.
  7. My goal in this league from the start has been to prioritize offense over pitching, and somehow I've managed to have a bottom-five offense and the best pitching staff in the league this year. #doingitwrong
  8. After 20 innings of inflated ERA ball the FO has decided that Rogers and Santos are worse pitchers than Rasmussen, Mills, Sanchez, and McGowan. This org is awful.
  9. Just fielding 2015 team on par with the 2013 and 2014 versions on a $130 million payroll is going to take incredibly shrewd management. It will be very interesting to see what happens to guys like Santos, Happ, Morrow, and McGowan. They all have options, but fitting them under a $130 million payroll will be very difficult. And then there's Janssen, who they certainly shouldn't retain, but probably will.
  10. More evasion and half-truths. If the team can't go beyond $132 this year in a pennant race, there's no reason to expect them to next year. And as things stand they're at $95-100 million committed, but with no 2B, CF, LF, bench or bullpen and only 4 starting pitchers. So they have "flexibility", but a lot of holes to fill with ~$30 million.
  11. Mattias Janmark if he's available.
  12. I'm not a huge believer in his team this year. He has some very nice pieces, but IMO he lacks the depth. Given his success so far this year it does make for an interesting decision for him.
  13. Nope. Getting that man to actually listen and respond to an offer on one of his guys is like pulling teeth.
  14. Temporarily back on top of the MC Division. Sammy falling out of it?
  15. Wait, the Rays aren't the worst team in the AL?!
  16. Lewis is an idiot who's bad at baseball.
  17. Jamie Moyer is probably my favourite baseball player ever.
  18. I'm actually pretty excited about this. I love Brad Mills.
  19. Regardless of the state of the bullpen, adding a likely replacement-level (or worse) arm is not a solution.
  20. The issue is that there is absolutely no reason to believe that Sanchez can help.
  21. Even 110 would surprise me at this point TBH. But I also hate him profoundly after wasting my 2nd round pick on him, so there's that. Also, I sent you a proboards PM.
  22. Eww. Lawrie looks like a 95-105 wRC+ guy while Rendon looks like a 120+ wRC+ guy IMO.
