  1. Anyone have a link to this for later?
  2. I don't really get emotionally invested in sports teams anymore. I just kind of have teams I like every year for various reasons.
  3. Anybody have a SP 4/5 they're inclined to move for any of my picks or non-Synder prospects?
  4. They won't move him. The talent level on this team is going to erode consistently over the next few years, both because their best players are on the wrong side of 30, and because they're going to hit free agency, and the team will have a hard time replacing them because they aren't inclined to pay even market value on the free agent market and don't have much coming in the upper minors. It starts this year when Janssen, Rasmus, and probably Melky will walk and return just a single comp pick.
  5. They're 2 games over 0.500 and their run differential is +4. This is not a playoff team.
  6. Please god not Reimold. Dude is pretty much replacement-level.
  7. I can actually see this. "He finished the season in left last year, and did a really nice job for us, so right now he has to be considered the incumbent".
  8. Why not? Not really any red flags in his time at AA.
  9. Anyone else really enjoying the Royals? Of all the teams still in the picture, I'm kinda rooting for them.
  10. lol, holy s***. Eugene Melnyk is so f***ing shady.
  11. Holy s***, Ottawa signed Clarke MacArthur for 5 years @ 4.65 today.
  12. No. Hockey is far too dumn for me to actually care about it.
  13. Tough schedule the rest of the way. This team could actually finish under 0.500.
  14. I'm probably a Buffalo fan now if anything. I've always liked Tim Murray, and have Sam Reinhart on both my hockey leagues.
  15. Why? As someone who hates the Leafs, this pleases me.
  16. McGowan isn't even good though. $4 million for a 4+ ERA reliever is a complete waste of money.
  17. That's why you have like 14 starters. You'll have an ERA under 3 by Friday.
  18. Right. So there's no chance Leiweke gets involved in the search for the Jays' next president?
  19. I'm not going to pretend to know much of anything about the way Rogers does business, but under their ownership, the Raptors and this offseason the Leafs seem to be acquiring excellent front-office personnel. Can you folks more in tune with the Toronto sports scene shed light on the possibility that whoever is in charge of running the Leafs and Raptors businesses might also work some magic with the Jays? Or are the Jays completely unrelated?
  20. What's Francisco going to make, like $3 million? You can reasonably expect him somewhere in the 105-115 wRC+ range vs. RHP, and he can play 3B without butchering it. That makes him an asset on a team with an injury-prone DH that still needs his option picked up, and an injury-prone 3B that might not even play 3B next year. I think he should be offered arb.
  21. Redmond is a nice guy to have as the 7th guy in the pen because he's capable of starting games when you need him to and only makes the minimum, but I don't think you want him as any more than a swingman.
  22. Yeah, I could see that. IMO a big part of the criticism is that people tend to view Cameron as a SABR-genius and that grinds the gears of people who know that he isn't, and leads to people pointing out his flaws. I'll read Cameron over 95% of bloggers, and definitely over any Jays-dedicated types like Tao or Stoeten. He's an entertaining writer and usually has something relatively interesting to say.
