Kind of makes sense for both this year and next. He won't cost much as I'm sure Texas probably just wants to dump his salary and he is still a decent player. Has an option for next season as well and he provides a replacement for Rasmus and/or Cabrera. Not a bad idea. -

Nor should they. -
It was laughable before the all star break, but not anymore, especially when the Red Sox are only 4.5 games back of the Jays. The division is tightening up and there is a reasonable chance no wild card comes out of this division. Jays have to go on a run, otherwise they have no chance. The Red Sox and Rays are surging and if the top teams keep hanging around .500 it's not out of the question that they get passed, especially when both those teams should be leading the division.

This is a series they need 3/4, not a split. No Lester means they can't mess this up, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Edwin should be shopped alone. Same goes for Bautista. Both have cheap options for 2016 and would each bring in a haul. Janssen alone would net us a good prospect as well. No one will give anything more than a middling prospect for Morrow at this point.

Everyone on the roster not named Stroman, Hutchison, and Lawrie would be available. Many of our guys would net us varying degrees of prospects and Bautista and EE would each bring in a haul. Other than Reyes, almost everyone can be moved fairly easily, and even then I'm not sure there wouldn't be some takers for Reyes as well. This team could easily be rebuilt in 3 years if that is the direction management chooses to go, however that will never happen.
