  1. Nice effort by goins
  2. He is right. Who wants to see pitchers hit?
  3. It's not that complicated.
  4. Bautista is the best without question imo. Delgado was good, but I don't recall him being as great of an offensive threat as Bautista.is great Delgado had some great years, but Bautista has had a bigger impact in a shorter time.
  5. This makes perfect sense and had to be expected. The Jays are in win now mode, no time for hurt feelings.
  6. Martin is a superior catcher to Navarro. Their is a reason the Jays brass haven't allowed Navarro the opportunity to catch Dickey.
  7. They are 5.5 games back with 54 more games to play, 13 of which are against the Yankees. No chance their goal isn't to take the division.
  8. The formula may very well be flawed, but the Angels losing today got the Jays to only one game back of the first WC spot. It's a fairly significant gain for the Jays considering how close they are to potentially overtaking the Angels.
  9. What kind of BS is this? Someone ban this guy.
  10. Win today ties us for the second WC. Hopefully Price has a good game today.
  11. All this for a bobblehead?
  12. Let's first win today and go from there.
  13. You do make that trade if it's the difference between getting into the playoffs and not. This group with Price in the playoffs has a legitimate chance to go deep. We have significant money coming off the books this winter, and a playoff run (or at the very least serious contention) will drive up ratings and ticket sales. Ownership will take note and spend this winter imo. They already have spent big money and there is no reason to think they won't continue, especially with a growing fan base and interest across the country. The Tulo deal was a strong indication that they are not pulling back the funds anytime soon imo, considering the extra years on his contract. Going all-in does not mean they need to dish out high risk contracts they will almost certainly cripple the organization long-term. Now in terms of Price, sure they make a play, but at the end of the day they would be much better off going an alternate route. The risk/reward simply isn't worth it for a long term contract.
  14. It was the right move.
  15. Any word on EE's injury status? I heard Travis could miss substantial time which would suck.
  16. Trading EE right now makes sense for us, but what team moves SP for him at the moment? Unless it's a 3 team type of deal I don't expect him moved until the winter.
  17. I will. I've been dealing with some stuff the past few days and haven't had anytime. Will make them at some point tomorrow.
  18. The Jays have a video game lineup. That being said I wouldn't be surprised to see one or both of EE and Bautista traded in the offseason. AA now has 3 key pieces in Donaldson, Tulo, and Martin all locked up long term which will make it pretty easy to move both players and still have a good lineup.
  19. Wtf, this is incredible. Tulo is a significant upgrade over Reyes and we get Hawkins who at least fills one of our weaknesses.
  20. It was a bad trade but more often than not these top prospects bust. At the time of the trade it was reasonably justified. Maybe not for both TDA and Syndergaard, but AA was trading for a CY Young Winner after aquiring some significant assets. JJ flopping was catrastrophic and I'm pretty sure no one expected that. AA made his move and failed miserably, but our farm is once again stocked, and our team is in position to make a move. He is a better GM than most.
  21. Yeah I don't get how he is a douche at all. He caught the ball and it's his to do with as he pleases.
