  1. He would also cost 7-8M to replace at current market prices so 12M isn't the end of the world
  2. I guess he's being tendered a contract
  3. We all want to get rid of Roark and his 12M next year but Philly wants to reduce payroll and that won't save them enough Man they have a lot of money tied up in Harper, Wheeler and McCutchen
  4. Ouch 14M in each of 2021 amd 2022
  5. Eddie Rosario has cleared waivers Twins or someone else should try to nab him on a 2-3 year deal at a modest AAV
  6. Seems like they're really looking for an established shortstop I'm not sure what they really want to do with the infield but they keep talking about run prevention and they're in on multiple shortstops...
  7. 8 PM Eastern tonight is non tender deadline
  8. Listening to an interview with Jay Jaffe of Fangraphs He was given hall of fame voting rights starting this year and also one of the other Fangraphs staff. Didn't know that.
  9. Yes, Sanchez seems like a Mets type player for sure He may want out of New York entirely though. I can see thousands of Yankees fans going to a Mets game just to boo him. (There may or not be fans in 2021 BYKWIM)
  10. They seem to find ways to lose and seem to have excessive off field type problems They have a bullpen full of expensive guys who used to be good And a starting rotation that has big potential but is never healthy And no good overall players at premium positions like C and CF
  11. Rosario could be a very good value pickup for someone if he ends up being non tendered
  12. The Twins have placed outfielder Eddie Rosario on outright waivers, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. The club previously tried to find a taker for Rosario in a trade, but it wasn’t able to do so, according to Rosenthal. Rosario has until Wednesday to join another team on waivers. If not, the Twins could non-tender Rosario or try to re-sign him for less than the $8.6MM to $12.9MM he’s projected to receive in arbitration this winter. Rosario is slated to go through arbitration for the final time in the coming months.
  13. f*** that would be exciting And f*** the Astros
  14. Gose 4 closer and pinch runner
  15. Agreed Paying top $$ for relievers who have had good runs is not the MO of this front office (thankfully)
  16. My thoughts exactly Please blow the rest on Realmuto, Mets
  17. Mets have signed Trevor May Details scarce
  18. Is he still pitching? Or did he move back to the OF?⁷
  19. Aparently Gary Sanchez is also playing in the DWL
  20. Hoping he plays 3B for sure
  21. Not a lot of trades involve pre negotiating extensions but it happens. Heck, even just from a Jays perspective we negotiated an extension with Dickey or course and I believe they had Halladay agree to an extension with Philadelphia before he was dealt there. So it's do able and this front office of course has a history with Lindor. Also out of curiosity, when the Dodgers traded for Betts do we really think they didn't know they were likely to sign an extension with him? He did it after the trade but before he played a single game for them. It just felt like both sides knew it would happen. So you never know but it could happen
  22. Also how serious is the team about letting Vlad Jr play 3B again Personally I don't think it should prevent signing a legit 3B or trading for Arenado if you can't get Springer or Lindor
  23. You sign a 4th OF from the free agent scrap heap for 2-3M
  24. Red Sox re sign Eduardo Rodriguez for 1 year 8.3M
  25. Exciting!
