  1. Shark and Stroman in the rotation by mid season would be nice and VERY cheap
  2. I can feel myself getting way too attached to this guy Need to temper expetations of both his success and likelihood of being on the Jays in 2014 Dammit that's hard to do right now when everything else feels so bleak #SaveTheStroman
  3. Pleskoff on Stroman (with video awesomeness): http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/news/prospects/index.jsp "He throws in the mid 90's. He has a COMPLETE repetoire. AND he throws strikes. That's what I like most about him. Marcus Stroman throws strikes."
  4. OMG I could fap to that Stroman video all day It's thread worthy
  5. Pleskoff on Stroman (with video awesomeness): http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20131213&content_id=64657174&vkey=news_tor&c_id=tor&tcid=tw_article_64657174 "He throws in the mid 90's. He has a COMPLETE arsenal. AND he throws strikes. That's what I like most about him. He throws strikes" Goddamit Goddamit Goddamit KEEP THE STROMAN
  6. Please, someone make sure doesn't get to see this report
  7. http://2guystalkingmetsbaseball.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/ilikeike.jpg
  8. Agreed. He's good not great If I'm trading a major package away I want Cole Hamels (Shark being dirt cheap augments the appeal somewhat though)
  9. Kinds stuff we already know, but OK What could we get from Pittsburg for Lind??? I kind of thought Brewers was his more likely landing spot in trade but Pirates makes a lot of sense too
  10. Nice to see it's not ALL doom and gloom And furthers the notion that it makes sense to continue to bolster the major league roster while the talent at the lower levels develop. There's a gap, but maybe not an insurmountable one.
  11. BEST TOOLS Best Hitter for Average - Kevin Pillar Best Power Hitter - Rowdy Tellez Best Strike-Zone Discipline - Mitch Nay Fastest Baserunner - D.J. Davis Best Athlete - D.J. 12. TOP 10 PROSPECTS 1. Aaron Sanchez, rhp 2. Marcus Stroman, rhp 3. D.J. Davis, of 4. Mitch Nay, 3b 5. Franklin Barreto, ss 6. Daniel Norris, lhp 7. Roberto Osuna, rhp 8. Alberto Tirado, rhp 9. Dawel Lugo, ss 10. Sean Nolin, lhp
  13. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2014-toronto-blue-jays-top-10-prospects-chat-with-clint-longenecker/ The farm system still has high-ceiling arms, but after the wave of trades the talent is concentrated at the lower levels of the organization. The trades left the upper minors short on prospects and long in the tooth The Jays are arguably as deep and as talented as any organization at the lower levels, with a strong contingent of Latin American pitchers and infielders and early-round draft picks from 2012 and 2013.
  14. I wish we matched up better in trade with the Yankees, but they have exactly the same needs (C, 2B, SP) as us PLUS now needs in the bullpen
  15. How much is Cecil expected to get in arbitration?? (of course, more likely AA gets a contract signed and avoids arb if we keep him)
  16. And they may be absolutely right Time will tell
  17. Maybe. But no one, and I mean NO ONE on this board would have thought it was a good idea to start 2013 with Gomes as even the backup to Arencibia. Thole was a better idea even though he sucked. I always liked Gomes bat and his ability to be a utility player and 3rd catching option.
  18. Jacoby Ellsbury takes out a big ad in the Boston Globe to thank the fans http://ow.ly/i/40J35/original
  19. Exactly. D'Arnaud was not ready to catch a (supposedly) contending team on opening day. My issue was more with the blind faith that JPA was going to be good enough, and then NOT having regular coaching for him. Egregious. No one would have counted on Gomes
  20. LOL Thank you for making me laugh before going to bed. Night, yo
  21. God dammit I can't keep going with this. It's 1 AM and I have to work like 30 hours this weekend. Gotta go to bed. Enough.
  22. OMG I am so not a bully And you are *deliberately* annoying, just like you were on the old board. For some sick reason you seem to just like annoying people and actually like getting told off or something. I don't get it, I really don't.
  23. You are annoying as f*** There, that's my point
