    Looks like Atlanta is getting desperate for a 2nd baseman too. Combine that with Izzy starting tonight (against the righty, so Kawasaki isn't benched for a lefty starting) and after I believe it was said Kawasaki would get most of the starts, and you have to wonder if something may be up.

    For fair/foul calls and possibly home runs, if they use the Hawkeye system then all plays that are close should automatically be reviewed since it would only take about 10 seconds. Kind of adds to the excitement too.

    Depends on how they implement it. If most of them (with obvious exceptions) are similar to tennis in/out calls where it only takes a few seconds, then I love it. If it means the umpires disappearing for 10 mins and looking at it on crappy equipment, then I dislike it.

    Yeah, that's the one down side to him. Our other guys probably don't come up with the ball in the first place though.

    That IS a good question, but I don't feel like doing the research right now (maybe someone else will?). I would think everyone medium-high would be better as pressure would be constantly exerted on the pitcher the entire game.

    They lead baseball in runs scored and are 2nd in the AL in OPS. They have a whole glut of players just a hair under .800.

    We need a no home runs option for days like today. I guess I'll take Bautista though.

    I voted yes, but it's more 50/50 for me if it's for cash. If the PTBNL is anything of use, then it's a big yes.

    Boni may not be useful for us right now, but his speed could win KC a playoff game or critical games down the stretch coming in late as a pinch runner.

    Probably. Wade Davis would make some sense though, since he's been pretty bad as a starter for them and will get 4.8M next year. Still has good upside, but KC probably doesn't want him in the pen at 4.8M.

    More interesting in this is trying to guess who the ptbnl will be (we should actually have a contest for that). It's really hard to gauge Boni's value right now, but he didn't make it too far up the waiver ladder. You have to wonder if someone yet to clear waivers might be a primary target (like Wade Davis since Ventura is probably ready), or someone who's stock seems to have fallen like Christian Colon (although I assume they wouldn't make it ptbnl if that was the case). Fun note: This trade gives the Royals two Bonifacios...

    Not Buehrle. Happ just pumps almost nothing but fastballs in there. He doesn't have one dominating enough to do that.
