  1. Nothing of value. He basically says the Cubs want Sanchez but won't get him, and the Jays should give up Stroman, Norris and Gose for him.
  2. No kidding. Man do we ever need some major news fast.
  3. lmao! Tell him he needs to go to a university in the states. I remember seeing an article from a few days ago where one university was basically just giving every student and A no matter what they did. One student reporter I believe enrolled in one of the classes, didn't go to a single class or write a single exam / assignment, and still got the A. I suppose engineers not knowing basic math is just as disturbing as finance majors not knowing it. Then people wonder why the world is so screwed up.
  4. We really had better hang on to our young pitching...
  5. I actually could see the Mariners coming away with him.
  6. Even creepier when it's a teen asking you for the picture
  7. The commentary and rumors that come with the bids might be worth it though.
  8. I don't know, but I'll take one of those lawnmowers and figure the rest out later
  9. Reading between the lines here, I'd say it means that Rogers is happy with the tv numbers and worried about physical butts in the seats next year.
  10. Hard to complain at all about a minor league signing, but Marcum's velocity is almost at Buehrle level now. Combine that with the injury issues and reports of other things, I'm not sure he'd be any kind of improvement over the kids we have. AAA rotation appears that it's going to be pretty stacked as it is already.
  11. Yeah, I know. It still looks hilarious though.
  12. Wada could be a rather interesting option to take a flier on.
  13. The vesting option is a reasonable price, so I don't mind that. The no trade would be a larger issue.
  14. Heh, I LOVE the steamer prediction for his rate stats, given it only expects one plate appearance!
  15. Math courses too. I marked and ran labs for a few, and I can't tell you how disturbing it was to see finance majors who were incapable of doing McDonalds skill testing questions.
  16. You may find courses you liked in HS you hate in university, and vice versa. Sometimes the teacher / prof makes all the difference too. I agree with kcjaysfan, some of the courses I enjoyed the most were physics, and I wasn't a physics major (I took a number of them for fun, seriously). Also, the boundary between some of the upper level math and physics courses kind of gets muddied. Whether you consider a course math or physics is often determined by whether you focus more on the underlying equations or more on the physical interpretation. Also, remember that each field has many different branches. Some of those branches you may detest, and some you may absolutely love. In HS you don't really get to see them.
  17. I actually found that first term at university wasn't too different from HS in terms of difficulty (well, physics was taught a little different since the HS courses used no calculus). The second term though, THAT was a shock.
  18. Yeah, I was actually kind of thinking that you might have trouble condensing it that far.
  19. Killing myself laughing as I picture Spanky with an Hello Kitty pillow...
  20. Now THAT is a paper. Nice topic too.
  21. They absolutely do. I love the way Rasmus in particular plays and does it, however at the same time I agree with you that it shouldn't be part of the game.
  22. Lol, sorry. Get back to your paper. That's far more important.
