    In some ways, it would make sense to have McGowan in the rotation to start the year for that very reason. McGowan would have to be moved to the pen at some point anyway (I'd imagine) due to how few innings he's pitched. As for Redmond, I still think it could be Drabek that gets that slot out of spring training.

    I like that AA seems to adapt. JPR seemed very fixed in his strategy, and seemed to have no real idea how to modify it when it didn't work.

    I'm not even sure I would put the Red Sox in that category. They definitely have the potential though when things go mostly right for them like last year.

    I doubt it. I don't see how they could possibly rely on him for anything close to full time health. I could see it as a precursor to trading Ackley or Saunders though.

    Considering the very real possibility of two vacancies in the outfield for 2015, it wouldn't be that bad an idea.

    It's certainly not a move to get excited about, but in the minors he's posted some very good obp and hit lefties well. He'll likely be used as some kind of super-utility guy at AAA.

    Honestly, if he's that high (and don't forget there's 3M - 4M / year on top of that in posting fee), I don't think I'd want him.

    I would suspect Bowden just doesn't like Stroman, or thinks he's nothing but a reliever.

    Yeah, the window thing was new, but not using the prospects as currency. And really, 3 years from now those kids on the farm may be ready to start getting their feet wet in the majors. I think all of us would prefer to have what the Cards do right now, but 28 other teams in baseball probably do as well.

    Ju1ced doesn't have any advertising up, so it's money out of his pocket right now. (He really should put a small amount up, at least on the blog).

    He did say from the start that he wanted to build the farm both to feed the major league team and to use as currency in trades. People around here really only took notice of it after he started actually trading them. That doesn't make it necessarily right (especially the targets he chose to trade for), but this wasn't some kind of abrupt departure.

    Nothing of value. He basically says the Cubs want Sanchez but won't get him, and the Jays should give up Stroman, Norris and Gose for him.

    lmao! Tell him he needs to go to a university in the states. I remember seeing an article from a few days ago where one university was basically just giving every student and A no matter what they did. One student reporter I believe enrolled in one of the classes, didn't go to a single class or write a single exam / assignment, and still got the A. I suppose engineers not knowing basic math is just as disturbing as finance majors not knowing it. Then people wonder why the world is so screwed up.
