  1. This is not a surprise with the way he's been running. Wonder why it took them so long to figure it out though?
  2. The Angels taking the lead in bad plays this game. One of the sloppiest games I've seen in a long time.
  3. Lol, I don't think either team has their heads in the game on defense.
  4. It's early, but Stroman looks locked in. Keeping the ball down and on the corners.
  5. I think Abreu takes it hands down if Tanaka is out.
  6. Clearly was safe. Jays have a right to be mad about the replays results.
  7. Always err on the side that's most enjoyable
  8. Is that advertising on the field actually placed there in real life, or is it superimposed?
  9. It doesn't matter what the rest of the world sees him as. Seattle has been pretty clear about seeing him as one of the game's top prospects. This is why I think they won't trade him unless it's a main piece of a blockbuster (unlikely), and rather they'll keep jerking him around as he continues to lose value (likely).
  10. I believe earlier in the year he was being mentioned as a key part in a possible deal for Price. They aren't trading him for a reliever. Instead they'll either put him in a blockbuster or they'll keep jerking him around until his value disappears (probably the latter).
  11. As long as it doesn't involve trading guys like Hutch, Sanchez, or Stroman. Attracting any kind of FA pitcher to Toronto is nearly impossible unless we overpay like crazy, so we had better develop them ourselves.
  12. Rather amusing article about Prince Fielder (aside from the pictures): http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/page/bodyfielderqa/texas-rangers-prince-fielder-takes-all-espn-magazine-body-issue One quote in particular:
  13. A-Rod, Upton, and Howard probably for me. For shorter term ones, definitely Wells too. At least *most* of the other guys on the list are performing reasonably, just not at the expected level.
  14. I didn't even think he was eligible since he wasn't drafted, but I see Edmonton did a deal with him after the draft. Nice find.
  15. We would get a massive haul considering the team friendly contracts and 2.5 years remaining on them, not to mention it's nearly impossible to trade for high end bats. If we ate some money (especially if we did), we'd probably get something pretty sweet for Reyes, Buehrle, and Dickey too. Honestly, the best thing for the team long term would be to trade them. If we didn't screw it up, it would probably set the organization up for a Rays style sustained run without the decade of last place finishes first. However, I totally understand wanting to win now too, and I think if we can avoid any more key injuries we have the team to potentially do so.
  16. Reyes seriously needs to stop trying to kill our 1st basemen
  17. This is a fantastic move. He's even arbitration eligible next year. Sure everyone wants a stud bat, but this dramatically strengthens the bench, at least offensively.
  18. At least Baltimore faces the Nats and Yankees before heading into the break.
  19. He stood up for them by immediately requesting the replay. Getting thrown out would serve no purpose. He can't yell at the idiots in the replay booth.
