  1. I know you're joking, but if we don't call up Johnson we could consider moving JB to 1st. Might help protect his leg for a week or two.
  2. He doesn't have significant splits this year or his games in the majors, but he does in previous years in the minors. Like I said though, he's basically Francisco except he can walk (and can't play a bad 3rd base).
  3. Johnson does have a .400 obp and .900 ops in AAA, and it's not the PCL any more. He's not going to make anyone forget about Edwin, but he's not a light hitting bat that has trouble getting the ball out of the infield either. He's probably basically Francisco except he can actually walk.
  4. If it's true, what it tells me is that the Jays think they can get something worthwhile for some of our relievers at the deadline. Either that or they're trying to hype up those two prospects in preparation for a trade, but imo that would be a mistake.
  5. Certainly can't be upset with nabbing Mantha, Perlini, Kapanen, and Scherbak so far
  6. Kasperi Kapanen and Nikita Scherbak. Frag is on the clock!
  7. Abomination selects Brendan Perlini. Jaysguy is on the clock x2
  8. I wonder if Allen Craig could be a good fit in the outfield? He seems to be the odd man out in Stl right now, and his contract is reasonable.
  9. I hate how they lock players in postponed games too.
  10. People need to calm down. It's not like we're facing a scrub team. We're facing the best team in baseball right now, and we're coming off taking both games against the team with the second best record. You aren't going to win every game.
  11. It might have been in RC. Nighttime in Oakland the ball just dies.
  12. This is hilarious. Henceforth this shall never be allowed again, and will be known as the Gibbons rule.
  13. Imo if they count the run, it's Oakland getting screwed by it since they had plenty of time to tag the runner at home if they knew it wasn't a force play. I'll take it though if they give it to us.
  14. They need to use alternative training methods with him. Maybe train him with a squirt gun like a puppy.
  15. Most of those guys probably start the season in the NHL this year anyway, so it would kind of make sense not to allow them. Way different than in baseball where it can take years.
  16. It can join mine, because I've read a TON of the books. I really lucked out and got a bunch at garage sales, and capped it off with I think over a hundred at the end of an auction for like $5 total (most are almost new condition, probably been read once).
  17. It seems like the whole pen has been funky this year (and ours isn't the only one). I've wondered if it may have to do with the weighted balls, but Delabar has also struggled and he was doing it last year so...
  18. I wasn't a big fan of 1. I think 2-4 have to be taken together rather than separate, which makes them all good 5 was horrible. 6 was the awesome. From TNG, didn't like 7 (although Troi crashing the Enterprise was priceless). 8 was awesome. 9 was okay, but people compared it to the standard set in 8 imo which was unfair. Didn't like 10. I like both of the reboot ones, although I don't really like the changing history part of the reboot
  19. Oops. Brain cramp.
  20. Do they forfeit the first round picks if the picks are protected in the top 10? Ie, if they crash and burn the rest of the year and wind up with say the 5th overall pick, do they lose that? Could be a costly gamble.
  21. I was hoping Virtanen would somehow fall to me at 39
  22. Lol, that's a doozy. Drugs are bad, m'kay?
