  1. Those prices appear to be for tickets to the entire series. Anyhow, here's the link to the prices. http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/ticketing/postseason_seating_map_and_prices.jsp
  2. Beltran put up 3.2 WAR in 2012 and 1.9 WAR last year...
  3. With both Norris and Graveman being added before they needed to be (and Sanchez expected to get a spot I would assume), you have to think there's a strong chance either Dickey or Buehrle will be traded in the off-season. This doesn't make much sense otherwise.
  4. Buehrle barely breaks 80 some nights. A heavy sinker at 90 is just fine, especially when combined with an almost non-existent walk rate.
  5. I wonder who's losing their 40 man roster spots?
  6. NHL.com's top 275 fantasy players (keep in mind these aren't tailored to dynasty leagues). http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=729272&navid=nhl:topheads
  7. I agree. As for that incident, that was completely unprofessional by the scout as well. Both totally deserve to be punished for that.
  8. All this move is, is a right handed platoon bat for Lind for the rest of the year with the expanded rosters (and right handed bat off the bench late in games). Reading anything more into it than that is foolish imo. Maybe he's kept around next year, maybe he isn't. He certainly isn't going to take bats away from Pillar this year (imo).
  9. I don't think that'll happen. Who would he displace to face righties?
  10. They're not telling about anything. Now if they said something, like it's one of the only stadiums in the majors without those facilities, that would be something to note. The fact that an older stadium doesn't have all the facilities that one of the newest and most expensive parks in the majors has shouldn't be a surprise. It kind of sounded like Girardi was frustrated at the reporters more than anything, although clearly he doesn't like the weight room.
  11. 9 straight hits lol
  12. I suspect almost all players are. It's just not something that's generally known outside of baseball front offices.
  13. From people who are actually competent?
  14. For those complaining that Gose wasn't added again instead of Pillar, I don't believe he can be recalled yet (unless there's an injury).
  15. Lucky (and stupid) little girl. Reminds me of that situation quite some time ago when a bird flew in front of a Randy Johnson 100mph fastball.
  16. Yeah. People on here were wanting him badly too. It's possible he simply didn't want to come here. It's also possible they were really just that high on JPA.
  17. To be clear, we aren't suggesting Martin because he's Canadian. That's just a nice bonus. We're suggesting him because he's basically averaged 4 WAR the last two years, plays godly defense, and is an excellent pitch framer.
  18. Yeah, he's blocked right now pretty good. There could be something there. As much as I don't want to deplete our SP depth now that we're starting to actually get some, Nolin might be a chip we could use in the right deal. I have to wonder if the Red Sox are ready to give up on Middlebrooks yet too? He rakes vs lefties, just can't hit righties.
  19. I'm saying Maicer / Kawasaki at 2B actually. I WOULD like to upgrade that, but I'm not sure it's as critical as other areas. As for the SP, we are ranked 13th in WAR from our starters with additional help on the way sooner rather than later (and expected improvement from Hutch). If we can get a true staff ace, then fine. Otherwise, I'm not sure we can reasonably expect anyone who comes in to be an improvement over what we have. At catcher there IS a perfect solution on the FA list: Russell Martin. Resigning Melky fixes LF, although if that falls through or costs too much Aoki could be interesting and probably wouldn't cost a ton. There's nothing obvious at 2b, but Headley at 3rd (coming off a poor offensive season that might make his salary reasonable) and moving Lawrie to second would work. I guess it all depends on cost and payroll. For me though, addressing LF and C are the biggest issues. I don't see CF or 2B as quite as large a problem (again assuming Maicer comes back okay). Heck, Gose has put up 1.2 WAR this year in 205 PA. Extend that to 400 PA (probably the platoon limit) and we should be just fine in CF.
  20. I think you have to take upgrades where you can (they all help) if they are coming at surplus value. I'm not worried about CF next year. Gose / Pillar (Pillar is raking right now) can platoon there until Pompey is ready, and then they can go with some combo. Either way it fixes the 4th outfield spot too. LF is a big worry, and I like everyone else except apparently the front office, would like to see an upgrade at catcher. Navarro would be perfect as the backup catcher. DH is fine, and honestly I think SP is also fine. 2B is more interesting. Assuming Izzy bounces back we may be okay there. An upgrade would be nice, and I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I'm not sure it's the most critical hole.
  21. 5M (the difference) isn't too much for Papelbon. I love the idea of Johnson or Crain. I don't even mind Grilli or Romo at 5M, but I wouldn't want to go much higher. I don't like the idea of Belisle, but Hochevar could be interesting. A flier on Fujikawa or Soria might be interesting if the options aren't picked up. After more injury, I wonder if Brett Anderson would move to the pen?
  22. I wonder what the Phillies were asking for for Papelbon? If we could send them Romero + something decent but not too painful, the salary difference would only be about 5M for us next year (which is basically Janssen). The option the following year might suck a little, but we can worry about that then.
  23. Cecil, Loup, Redmond, Drabek, McGowan (4M really isn't terrible), Delabar (assuming he gets the kinks worked out), Jenkins. Should be lots of other cheaper options on the FA market to fill it out. We'll have to wait and see what actually happens though.
