  1. It's dropped off completely for almost all teams it seems. There's still some BIG names out there too in Shields and Scherzer, and a couple closers with barely a whisper about any of them in the rumors.
  2. Both are basically the opposite of what I'm looking for right now (although I'd take them at low cost obviously). I am looking for a young goalie and young defensemen (don't have to be established yet)
  3. I don't know what got into him all of a sudden, but man did we need it.
  4. Pillar should be able to outperform Ichiro, although the difference is probably minimal. If paying Ichiro one or two million provides more than that in additional revenue because of the name factor, then go for it. Otherwise, there's really no point.
  5. Wish he had picked a different week... (not that it matters for me this year anyway)
  6. Soler, Bautista, Bryant, Harvey, and either Cespedes or Betts probably for me.
  7. I don't think I'd even do it then. Holland + Miller maybe (mind you, I have different valuations than a lot of people do, so take that as you will)
  8. Ryu + Holland + Miller >>>> Dickerson + Despaigne imo
  9. Yeah. He'll almost certainly be traded though anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
  10. That would be an excellent pickup!
  11. Rofl, GD sorted from greatest to least
  12. Lol, Chad Johnson (Halak's backup) is murdering my save percentage...
  13. Just copy and paste from Excel, or whatever you use. (You can also go to advanced mode here and manually do a table, or program it in html and then copy and paste it)
  14. You don't need any more upgrades
  15. Yeah, I love that deal for the Royals.
  16. As a Guerrero owner in the BBDL, I really wish they'd trade him (preferably before roster cutdown).
  17. With considerable help from Dinger...
  18. Heh, this is something else: http://m.pirates.mlb.com/news/article/105003914/dreamcatcher-john-holdzkom-takes-long-road-to-major-leagues
  19. His speed has probably declined a bit, but that's really about it. From 2006 and on, his wRC+ is 116, 101, 118, 103, 102, 142, 109, 113, 102.
  20. Apparently Selig got himself one hell of a retirement package. He's apparently going to get 6M / year.
  21. They say 5/90ish in that article, but from what I remember, the price on Shields is 5/110. Maybe that'll come down, but I don't blame teams for balking at it.
  22. I think in general, sinkerballers are always going to have low swinging strike rates because frankly, the pitch is designed to be hit. That doesn't mean they can't be highly successful. Henderson Alvarez just posted a 3.57 xFIP season (2.65 era), and Derek Lowe had hugely valuable seasons as a starter for years. I think Sanchez has the secondary stuff to completely dominate though, if he can finish harnessing it.
  23. Yes please! This would help me in the LOD immensely.
