  1. Both are nice, but the benefit of the spreadsheet is that it's easy to give multiple people access to update it. Then if you're busy and can't update the website periodically, it doesn't matter. You can do so as you're able.
  2. We should probably have a Google spreadsheet for these drafts too, so multiple people can update it. Then Spittin can update the website as he has time.
  3. If people want to let him drop to me at 7, I'd have no issue with it.
  4. Just think if we still had Reyes
  5. Navarro signed with the CWS, and Flowers with the Braves. Wilin Rosario might not be a horrible option, and should come cheap.
  6. Gio Gonzalez comes to mind, although his k rate was higher and general numbers a little better when he first broke in.
  7. Hopefully they don't overdo it and pull a League.
  8. I don't have any skin in the game, but my suspicion is that it would potentially unfairly vault the lower mid-range teams over the fringe playoff ones. Why not auction off a few of the higher end, older players (you could have an outside panel determine the strongest return), and let whoever takes over the team keep the younger ones. Say, auction off Edwin, Cargo, Hamels, and Chapman or something.
  9. With the stuff Sanchez and Osuna have, I don't think it makes much sense to stretch them out in AAA regardless. If you want to manage their innings at the big league level, then one starts for half the year and the other relieves, then they swap or something. Assuming you make the playoffs, you can move them both back into the pen for October.
  10. He did allow Swisher to make some starts out there the previous two years. Swisher wasn't as bad as Colabello in the OF (probably because of experience), but he wasn't exactly great either.
  11. I wonder if the Dodgers are still trying to move Ethier or Crawford? They might have to eat some salary, but we'd be looking at 2 years during our window rather than a long FA contract.
  12. Yeah, I'm not saying I agree with it either. Since the rumor was out there though, that could explain a possible reason.
  13. Maybe that's where a Dickey trade would come in, to free up the cash for a signing (or bring back an outfielder itself).
  14. Apparently we're getting cash in the deal equal to the salary difference.
  15. I think the better argument is that Storen is a badly needed bullpen upgrade, and Pompey's defense can almost certainly provide the same kind of WAR that Revere did, even if the bat lags behind.
  16. So it's basically Storen + 2M for Revere and a PTBNL? As long as it isn't a significant prospect, that seems like a pretty good deal.
  17. Also according to the season standard deviation on Yahoo (which appears to use our settings), you are very wrong. He'd be 13th on my team.
  18. I'm not going for it this year. If I happen to sneak in because of a weak division, so be it.
  19. I'm not sure Iginla and Doan are better than what's apparently being offered for them THIS year.
  20. I think 16 is a better feel.
  21. Well, Ozuna is projected by Steamer to put up 2.8 WAR next year.
  22. As much as he *might* help us, I'd absolutely hate having to cheer for him. If he comes cheap and isn't guaranteed the closer's job though, sure.
  23. Swiiinnnggg and a miss.
  24. That seems a bit high to me.
