  1. WTF is up with those last two fouls?
  2. He only threw 5.2 innings last year.

The fact that all the Canadian teams are sucking this year probably isn't helping.
  4. I think YES gets something like twice the subscriber fee a month (not to mention I think they somehow got YES added to all cable providers in NYC as a mandatory channel). I was really surprised though too. Some of the low ad revenue reasons for Canada make a lot of sense, but it seems like it should be higher than it is.
  5. This is kinda interesting: Apparently TSN gets something like 50% more per subscriber based on current contracts. http://www.nationalpost.com/rogers+communications+gears+biggest+week+sports+still+eyes+long+game/11418867/story.html
  6. Given what autobody shops cost nowadays, he's lucky no one got it on camera or on their phones. That would have been a really nasty bill, not to mention a possible criminal mark.
  7. People seem really, really cranky today...
  8. Please don't give Lowry the flu Demar.
  9. Really, really frustrating game to watch.
  10. For whatever it's worth, the Ontario budget projects 72 cents this year, 75.5 next year, 81 in 2018, and 83 in 2019.
  11. We're ahead of the Royals once min salary guys are figured in.
  12. Yeah, JPA could hit home runs too.
  13. He's a FA after the season.
  14. I think I like the idea of Coghlan more, but assuming Moss bounces back a bit this year, he seems like a decent fit.
  15. Is JB boycotting baseball activities or something?
  16. I don't think it's crazy at all.
  17. This is a minor league deal. There's nothing stopping us from still picking up someone like Bruce or Coghlan (who would probably cost a bit to acquire). Don't look at a minor league signing as closing the door on something else. Note: I said that before I saw that the A's got Coghlan for a hot steaming pile lol. They're probably gonna end up flipping him at a real nice profit.
  18. Maybe the extra strength and flexibility will help his command, which is really the main issue for him.
  19. Bautista's track record leading up to the contract is a hell of a lot better, although he'll also be 2 years older.
  20. It's probably worth noting that the guys who continued to produce at advanced age (Ortiz, Manny, Thome, Bonds) all had high walk rates like Bautista does. Thome and V-Mart are a little younger still, so we'll have to see how they do in the next year or two. I suspect guys like Bautista and Choo will age relatively well with the bat as long as they can stay on the field physically.
  21. Oh man am I glad (now) that they didn't have that when I was in University.
  22. They could structure the bonus on MVP voting or something. Maybe give him a $10M bonus if he finishes top 10 in voting. He's finished top 10 in 4 of the last 6 years, so it's not unreachable by any stretch.
  23. This seems like a really, really bad line of questioning.
  24. Lol, I just got a message when going to mlbtr that said the servers were at capacity. Never seen that before, even at trade deadlines.
