  1. I'm more upset at bunting there than I am about the call not being overturned.
  2. Our starting pitching has been fine this year on the whole. We're 8th overall in MLB in WAR and 2nd in innings pitched. Middle of the pack in the AL in xFIP and 3rd in FIP. The only issue has been our offense this year, and it'll come around.
  3. Other guys with horrible starts to the season: Abreu: .190/.284/.362 Miggy: .232/.317/.339 Votto: .172/.258/.241 Upton: .226/.262/.323 Fielder: .183/.246/.283 Freeman: .163/.328/.245 Heyward: .200/.314/.233 Pujols: .148/.224/262 A-Rod: .156/.269/.289 We just happen to somehow have bunched almost all our big bats into a slump at once.
  4. Hutch hasn't officially been called up.
  5. He's missing spots a lot, but he's also getting babip'd something fierce. The vast majority of the hits have all been within about 1 foot of a fielder's glove, some of which should have been made. Then there's the double plays we failed to turn and the bad hop over Smoak. This is definitely a group effort tonight.
  6. Watch Bautista take Sonny deep.
  7. I'm probably looking at: Vincent Trocheck Ryan Johansen Jonathan Huberdeau Filip Forsberg Valeri Nichushkin Blake Wheeler Ryan Strome Bobby Ryan Henrik Zetterberg Dustin Byfuglien Sami Vatanen Matt Dumba Marc-Andre Fleury Jaroslav Halak Mike Smith May change things slightly to protect Ristolainen and/or Domingue. Not happy about possibly losing Lazar either.
  8. Good signing. He'd be an excellent replacement for Carrera. Can play all three outfield positions reasonably well, and can come off the bench late in a game to steal a base or two.
  9. This cutdown is going to be interesting (and a little painful)
  10. I'll take Chlapik
  11. William Karlsson.
  12. The knuckleball barely has any movement on it at all. This is going to be a long day.
  13. I'll take Bittner
  14. I'll take Stalock I guess
  15. Yeah, that was really odd. It almost looked like he thought the runner had no chance of getting back and just lobbed it.
  16. There's fans there? I see a hell of a lot of green seats.
  17. I'll take Kinkaid
  18. Dunno, he was pretty damn good in the first q of game 1 too.
  19. Sanchez has shaken him off a few times for what I assume were breaking balls.
  20. Mostly just a steaming pile left. I guess I'll take Arvidsson. Please list him on my NHL squad since he's played 62 games.
  21. Really tough hitting conditions against a really good pitcher. It was a poor decision in hindsight that was almost bailed out by a great slide, but I'm not sure the thought process was wrong.
  22. JV is a monster right now!

    NHL Thread

Were people actually throwing rats on the ice in one of the hockey games? How to that many people even smuggle them into the stadium???
  24. Hard to image in would fit well on the front or back, but I could see maybe on the hats and sleeves.
  25. Rogers could use it for more than just Jays though. Promoting phones, packages, etc to a fairly targeted audience run by a 3rd party could be worth their while.
