1. Looks like the knuckleball is messing up the ump too.
2. This has never made sense to me. You have bad weather in many cities at the start of the year, so you schedule two of the teams with domes to play each other?
3. You're missing him in the BBDL.
4. Yeah, so do I. He's definitely a better loogy, but these are his career MiLB splits:

Split IP FIP SIERA K/9

v L as L 46.1 1.65 2.09 12.04

v L as R 45.1 3.00 3.13 10.13

v R as L 77.2 3.26 3.70 7.88

v R as R 73.2 3.84 4.23 7.94

Keep him away from facing righties as a righty (and most switch hitters probably don't choose that anyway) and he should be fine.
5. Or the David Wells spring training program.
6. It's hard to imagine an NL team being able to carry him though. He's basically a DH.
7. Not what I wanted to hear:
8. Yeah, last year people were saying the same basic thing about Estrada.
9. They may have not exercised it or whatever last fall, and then negotiated a simple 2 year deal now. It's still in his best interests to sign it.
10. He has more value on the major league team in either role than in Buffalo. He won't make 34 starts anyway based on inning totals in the past, so he's gonna be in the pen at some point. If he starts out there, you can stretch him out mid-season if the need arises.
11. There's no way Sanchez will be in Buffalo. He'll either be in the rotation or in the pen on the MLB team.
12. Assuming there isn't a stat correction that gives him another assist. That was quite the day he had. Scared the crap out of me.
13. Yeah, but if the draft is happening before cutdown it affects what players I might be willing to cut now in the playoffs.
14. The dispersal draft happens before cutdown, right?
15. I don't know when I first signed up, but the forums underwent at least two resets since.
16. I think the problem for Sanchez with the secondary pitches is that the curve is such a big breaking curve. With his fastball down in the zone, any pitch the batter sees start up in the zone is likely the curve and easier to pick out. If he could add a four seam fastball up in the zone, the curve and sinker probably become deadly.
17. Career numbers as a reliever (smaller sample sizes for Osuna and Sanchez obviously): Storen: 3.09 FIP, 3.46 xFIP Osuna: 3.02 FIP, 3.45 xFIP Sanchez: 2.93 FIP, 3.15 xFIP
18. They're just cranky that players today get millions of dollars a year and they didn't, which happened after the nerds figured out how to turn baseball into a big, profitable business.
19. Barney trying to spread some of his fortune at the plate to the opposition...
20. Noooo ... and yeah!
21. The poll is who WILL be, not who SHOULD be.
