I don't see any reason to change the playoff format. Going down to 4 teams would be too few imo, and having 6 or something would mean someone gets a bye, which from a "fun" perspective also sucks.
My opinion (grab aside, although in fairness I think THAT happened after the ball was already released) was that Bautista sliding in that manner specifically prevented him from attempting to remain on the bag (since his arms and hands were on the wrong side of the bag with his body in between). It was probably the right call, but still sucks.
There was a particular skater I really, really want to select, but my goaltending is too iffy for next year. I'll take Fleury.
I'll email Vanny, but if someone could also FB him it would be appreciated.
Too bad they didn't do dirt for the warning tracks and stuff too. Here's another shot from Sportsnet:

The overhead shot appeared to show it as a strike to Jose. Still, when a pitcher misses across the entire plate, they don't usually get the borderline pitch.
And 4.24 the year before (split between starting and relieving mind you) with a career 3.89 versus lefties. Why not just let Venditte be the second lefty until Loup comes back, and save $1.5M in the process?
