    I'd take the 58 starts of midish 3's xFIP in 2014-2015 a lot more seriously than the 12 starts this year. He's not an ace, but who couldn't use a solid #3 starter on a cheap contract? I don't see anything concerning about his velocity in general. It's been back up approximately where it should be the last 4 or 5 starts. The drop in SwStr is a little more worrying. Really, he's just too big an ******* for me to want him on our team.

    Hell no. We already have a bit of a reputation with Bautista (more for talking about his contracts and stuff on the field than anywhere else at least). No desire to double down on that, no matter how good the arm is.

    He's only faced the 4th time through the order this year twice (7 plate appearances). 25 batters instead of 27 for the full 3 times through the order is not the crux of his issues. Given the difference in the leagues (starters being pinch hit for in the NL), this looks to me like he's being used essentially the same.

    Rodney would be available (11 saves, no earned runs), but I'm not sure what kind of fit there would be. I'm not looking for draft picks, but I could package my 1st rounder (which could be #1 at this rate) and other non-core pieces for the right prospect/etc.

    Much worse was talking about how aware Sanchez was in covering the bag at 3rd and saying "You can't teach that". Uhhhh, pretty sure ALL teams teach that.

    Travis is an above average defender. He just hasn't played for a year and got almost no rehab assignment time.

    Not based on the projections for the rest of the season (well Storen is about the same). I love what Biagini is doing, but man do we need another person who can strand a f***ing runner.

    Aside from actually calling it a flagrant 1, I'm not sure the calls have been wrong. I'm sure they'll get worse though.
